I Also Micro Slicked my bolt carrier group and trigger assembly. Hope to get some red wood furniture soon My gun was beedblasted and had the Cerakote Baked on.

Cerakote is the best Hands Down..Heres mine after 1000rnds

Buy a stock kvar handguard. Comes with a heat shield and just drill and put a rail on it. you will need a new gas tube and lower retaining bracket but those are easy to put on.

My current setup. Im sure soon to change. Might go with a different handguard and folding stock. Ive put thousands of rounds down range without malfuntion or any issues. Sgm Handguard is rock solid for a polymer handguard. No heat issues at all after 100s of rounds fired in short period of time. Did tap and add a allen screw through the front of the foregrip that rest on the bottum of the gas block support. Removes any play in the handguard. Cerakote, micro slick internals.
