  1. Anyone have one? I've been using mine on a Benelli M4, and I'm curious how loud it is on a Saiga12.
  2. I recall one clown tried to hold up a fast food restaurant drive-thru with a saiga 12. I believe he had it propped on the windowsill of his car, accidentally engaged the mag release, and the magazine fell out during the stickup. I'll let you guys imagine how the rest of it went, haha.
  3. Gen2 pmags are known to cause issues in the Canadian tavors. No word on if the newer American versions have a fix. The mags can be modified with a file to avoid the issue. There's a YouTube video that shows how to do it.
  4. Are there any more in stock at Atlantic? Gonna try and sell my Draco and pick up a Vepr12 if possible.
  5. What kind of flash hiders are you guys using? I've been considering one of the AIMR ones for authenticity, but what is best at taming the massive fireball?
  6. I have one of these on preorder. Didn't realize the flash hider was fake, and the barrel was wonky. I saw you guys sell a 5.56 flash hider: http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?productid=17634&cat=289&page=1 Is it possible to get the barrel cut and then the FSB or barrel threaded to fit these?
  7. holy jeez this is awesome news. Hopefully those VEPR-12s will get in soon too
  8. Just buy a big can of M855. That's what I did.

  10. Got my Kashtan in the mail today, looks great (and fits the AK normally, as an added bonus). I'll have to take it out this weekend to zero it with my 5.56 SLR 106. What would you recommend as a POI at 100m? That's the longest range I have nearby, until they open up a new outdoor one.
  11. Nice write-up. I might end up sending PSO back to kalinka and getting one of these.
  12. Here it is on the gun (which is an SLR-106FR btw). It's stable with the latch turned, but will go no further forward. Makes for some extremely uncomfortable angles. Looks like this is the part I'd need: http://www.kalinkaoptics.com/accessories/for-posp/posp-ak-bottom-mount-w-black-finish-for-posp-scopes-hot-swappable-1.html looks like Krebs made a similar mount about 10 years ago as well http://www.cruffler.com/accessory-review-june-01.html
  13. Ok a little more searching explains it. Apparently this is the correct mount, it sits on the rifle securely, but positioned way too far to the rear. Weird. Maybe I can swap out base for the posp style. Also Krebs used to make one, but can't seem to find it on their site.
  14. I noticed the posp mounts and pso ones look similar, but I've also seen a pso mount with that metal bump on the right side.
  15. I recently picked up a PSO-1 scope from kalinka, ordered the AK mount. However, when sliding on from the back, the metal bump hits the rear of the scope rail. Am I missing something here? Is this the right mount? edit: or does it just not cover the rail completely?
