I disassembled and assembledmy shotgun with no real problem. I thought. My first trip to the range was 10 rounds sucessful but my trigger main pin had slid out of the reciever and the trigger was cock eyed. My question is where do I get a new pin or how do I keep my existing pin from sliding.

i appreciate the info and have opened the ports on my barrel. i used a 12" recipricating saw blade and hammer to remove my gas block. everything went smoothly except my pin driving(mushroomed the head). i appreciate all the info and humbling comments and i am proud to say my saiga is running smoothly. don't be afraid to do your own work if you know your limits. thanks again fellas. benjamin jason dimsdale

yeah in NC i just bought high brass for19.25 and low for 7.99. feel your magazine wall for burs and sand it smooth. i had to file my top metal piece a bit to get promags proper but im rockin and rollin now

how do i reinstall the gas block?

a buddy of mine has a few saiga12s and told me today i can drill my port holes out without taking off the gas block. i have never heard of it but i have removed my bolt catch and have never heard of that either(my bolt catch was slightly bent). you guys have helped me on some of my other problems and was just wanting a little knowledge. thanks the only stupid questions are the ones not asked

i have had a gas problem from the get go. i was wondering if the hole on the side of the gas block is very necessary. i toyed with drilling till i found this hole and figure if i weld the hole shut and grind it down it will push an appropriate amount of gas to cycle any round. i really need some input. thanks

is there any other reason for the bolt catch besides the obvious. thanks
