  1. Even so, I'd like to have one to break. Took me about an hour to break a Catamount Fury II. I'll bet you didn't have to try very hard! It took almost exactly an hour. It ran weak loads just fine, a lot of them. A couple of mags of 3" did it in. I can repair it fairly easily, but have so much other work to do that it just waits patiently in its bin. What quit on it?
  2. Do not take this the wrong way but sometimes it's fried onions. Congratulations when I got married my pop said to me "Son this is the happiest day in your life........and your last" but he was jus kidding. Good luck and blessing to the both of you
  3. My wife shoots full size much better than compacts. I think it has a lot to do with more to hold onto and less snap. If they will carry off body or simply use it as a night stand gun I think it is a great idea. You may find that she will eventually get both. My best friend for 48 years my wife chose all her pistols and one of mine. It's nice to go to places like Bass Pro and browse the gun cases. Good luck and remember women like bling and quality guns
  4. I am a big pheasant hunter and have cases on cases of steel that's why I asked
  5. I would be nice if they would say yes, because it would imply a better barrel . Cannot fine anything about it so far.
  6. Langosino what did you pay for it? Were they fresh or frozen?
  7. Women when they get older go through what they call " The Change of Life". All I can say is it is true man life does Change.
  8. Here is the video for removing a dimpled FSB Like I said pressing them off after drilling with a drill press is better. You wil need a press and drill pressanyway to drill the barrel for the pins. Hope this helps https://youtu.be/cR2C5xuHWE4
  9. Find someone who has a hydrolic press and a drill press if you do not have one ,it is so much easier
  10. Paid $300 for mine and after conversion it is still the best rifle in the safe and it shoots AR mags.I would go for it. Already gots things that shoot 556 and use AR mags. Don't wants AK that shoots 556 and uses AR mags. That cool I was just saying my 556 Saiga runs so well I never got and AR in 556. 9mm, 300 Blackout is what I run on an AR platform at the moment.
  11. Paid $300 for mine and after conversion it is still the best rifle in the safe and it shoots AR mags.I would go for it. You should have said US old timers! Yes yes I guess I should have. For $8900 an old guy like me better not miss with a gun like that
  12. Here is and AR for the old guys whose eyes are dimming. http://www.tracking-point.com/
  13. You sir have a big problem! And that problem is you do not live next door to me !
  14. A 223 pump Saiga rifle! Sounds like reverse evolution to me. Next they will say it can shoot 556 ,even thought it is marked 223. What's next a pump caveman spear?
  15. If he likes math then get a 22 with a mil dot scope and really open up his world. Range finding with a good mil dot is cool for the math kid.
  16. 80% lowers can be done by any novice who uses the jig that allows you to mill and drill correctly . That said, the jig does cost extra, so much for saving money. This I why I said it is mostly done for the fun of it and yes I would trust all my 80% builds they run flawless
  17. This will be challenged and defeated. The right to bear arms does not give a number of arms just the right to have arms. CA, Il, NY are the 3 states that many out of state off duty LEO will not chance carrying . They are in some areas not friendly. When I am on vacation and going through Illinois ,I lock it away.
  18. The easiest way is to cut some of the front shroud off and thread it like most have done on this forum. Take all but 15 minutes.
