  1. I have the same stock and was going to change it for an ace later but Tapco has made the stock rock solid now so I will leave it be.

Like your Green grip. I also shoot only NATO 556 so i installed a flash hider and a wolf XP spring and it shoots like a dream.

This is a great gun and you will LOVE IT.

  2. The bolt hold open cam will push the trigger spring on the side of the BHO to far, and sometimes needs to be adjusted to properly rest at the same place it does on the other side of the trigger. Not all do it but it does happen . It must be how they twisted the spring.

Just a little tip to make sure your trigger is true.

  3. Well Ii just got back from the range and I must say first that I Love this gun. I shoot 556 NATO all the time so I installed a Wolf XP spring to smooth out the annoying snap during the recoil. Do not get me wrong it was hardly noticeable but now it is gone. It seems like the gun ran just a little smoother which was all I was hoping for. Then when I started to examine the casings I noticed that many did not have the Siaga AK kiss on them and the ones that did were dented very little. So this is another plus. Red dot was flawless due to being on a very accurate rifle and my flash hider ended the great balls of fire problem with this 16 inch gun amplified by the NATO round. This Gun is done, next Siaga shot gun! . 12 Gauge or 410?

I do recommend this upgrade for the 556 shooters, 20 bucks with shipping from Brownell's

  4. Brownells and wolf only makes one spring 15% stronger for all aks as far as I know.

Will be testing it out at range tomorrow. Looking to smooth it out a bit if that can be done.as this gun will be shooting Nato 556

New flash hider and spring with a new red dot. It will be a nice morning.

Also My spooked out (Ghost Trigger job)Glock 27, XDM40 and M&P subcompact 40 will be coming along for the ride.

  5. I see it ,I see it , did not mean anything in my statements , not on duty to day so I am going to thread a siaga barrel for a flash hider.

You guys have been taking a simple statement i made for conversation and jumped all over me . Did I not say I wished you the best, Did I not say that Siagas are a great gun to do what you want . I do not think I will post here any more!

  6. Oh forgot! a VZ-58 is not an AK an AR is not an AK we can't mention ARs so Why is The 58 allowed?

Just a question . If you have ever shot one you would know what I am talking about (it is not even a variant). Siaga a better Cheaper gun.

  7. I was just kidding guys! I do not own a ar and never will, and I do love my Siaga. (ask my wife)

But my point is how far to we go?

We make the Siaga into an AR /Siaga?, and then we struggle with making it work?

By the the time you are done paying and playing with Mag Adapters you could have bought some Sure fire Mags and have a gun that is rock solid dependable.

But my point was that it is fun to do this. This is what Siagas are. A gun that we can modifiy into something that we think will be cool.

I have real alot about AR to AK mag conversions some good and some bad. I was thinking about it when my wife aked me why?

Does it not work correctly?. I had to answer with an Big YES. So I am not going there with my 223.

This is my only rifle , it is the only rifle I need and own. It shoots 556 nato like butter . I hope that all your mag conversions to AR mags works out and you have the confidence in your Guns that I have with mine.

I'm sorry for bringing up the buying a cheep AR statment , I'm new here but did not think it would be taken wrong, it was just a thinking point like my wife gave me.

Good luck to all and be safe

  8. 100% with the exception of 3 failures and you hope it holds to gether and you have to add another tweek, but your happy? Boy do I love Guns don't you?

Why not just buy a cheep ar for 600 bucks? I know ,I know Because just because!

Good luck man I hope it works out for you.

  9. Just ordered my xp spring for my converted siaga 223. will install it when it comes next week. in the mean time just cleared out my work area to get to the bench vice so i can thread this baby for a flash hider . 556 +16 inch barrel = great bals of fire! . this gun eats anything but I will shoot mostly Fed 193.

just got a aimpoint red dot for my bithday and zeroed it at 50 yards . Here we Go!

I will let you know how the spring does when I get out to the range about 2 weeks.

  10. After converting my 223 Siaga with a tapco saw grip, folding stock and single hook g-2 trigger , and then spending hours polishing the trigger and action the wife and I took it to the range to test it out . Starting out with 193 federal 556 to russand zink coated TAP 223 it ran better than I ever dreamed. Very Low and I mean very low recoil. So low the wife who is 4'11" put down her S&W 40 C and said let me shoot it and she loved it but the stock was to long. This is a great gun and will be better when I get my threading gear and flash hider from Dinzag . The G2 trigger as i said is polished is super smooth for a single stage trigger ,so smooth you forgot about it and just ran the gun, the way it should be. 7 diffrent brands of ammo from brass to steel and it ate it all. Was thinking about a J-TAG compensater but Why?

I Love this Gun runs perfect 1.5 moa at 100yards.

Thanks to all the good posts that helped me get er done.
