Izhmash is making brand new 5.45x39 60 round quad mags for the russian Government to fit their AK-74's. Izhmash has a new co-production agreement with Arsenal of Bulgaria. Problem is if Bulgaria was able to ship them to the U.S. they would be in 5.45x39 and not 7.62x39 which most of us use.

Since an AK drum is more common and there are a fair amount of them floating around the country you can pick them up through mail order relatively easily. The hubbub with the S-12 drums is that there really isn't a whole lot out there, therefore a higher demand with less product = people bitching Brand new Bulgarian 75 round drums made on Chinese machines. Izhmash stated that the mag was designed and built for the 5.45x39 AK-74 rifle. I'll bet someone copies them in 7.62x39.

The mags shown are made by Izhmash (Saiga). Supposedly soon to be made for the Russian government. The Russians are not allowed to send hi cap mags to the U.S. Maybe Bulgaria will make them.
