Why would they make the rifle in the U.S., but have the shotgun made in China? It doesn't make sense.Furthermore,hopefully they will have a 5.45 AK offering in this configuration, I imagine they will.

Well, its happened.  Magpul is now producing 5.45 mags that will only cost 13 bucks.  I wonder if we will start seeing an uptick in perhaps U.S. made 5.45 rifles and maybe a domestic production of 5.45 ammo. Presently the cost of 5.45 ammo at least where I live is pretty damn expensive. 

 

It would be nice,but nothing beats 7N6.

I've fondled many, however I have not owned any that were horrid.  Considering I've only owned 2.  But I got rid of the P95 as it had between 1500-2000rds thru it and was starting to have some issues.  Grip angle wasn't bad.  I've held many.  Don't like the glock grip, and Springfield on the XD models were horrid even the new Mod 2. there are many others I find uncomfortable to hold.

 

What kind of issues did you encounter with the P95? (just curious)

I'm not very knowledgeable in this area and just recently stumbled across a SAAMI pressure spec chart. It says 9mm +p is 38,500 and .357 mag. is 35,000. WHAT?! .357 mag. has considerably more velocity and energy. 9mm +p also had slightly higher pressure than 10mm. Again,WHAT?! That's CRAZY!

At that price I would get it. I have a CZ 75 D Compact, very nice pistol. If you're not used to a true DA pistol, the trigger can take some getting used to. Out of the box, the DA is very heavy. I put a 13# hammer spring in mine, made a big difference. The DA pull is now considerably lighter and very smooth.

My business load in 7.62x39 is Hornady SST.

 

 

This bullet was fired into water jugs from my M92 sbr.  It exploded the first 2 jugs, split the 3rd jug and then continued to the 5th jug, shedding only one small piece in the 3rd jug. 

 

 

Nice! I have some of that as well.Very accurate,consistent ammo and the SST is an awesome bullet. Would make a great hog round.

Neither AK or AR, looks to have been a .40 or .45 that rolled into my shop today and thought it was interesting ( Christmas in St Louis). 2015 Cherokee. Hits are through the rear lift gate and  one through the hood and ended up in the air box.

I have a steel target at 100 yds, its just mild steel and intended for shotgun slugs or pistol its 1/4" thick

Several people not knowing its not AR500 have shot it with 223 and 762x39

 

The 762 makes a pretty nice dent

The 223 punches perfect holes

 

Smaller diameter bullet could possibly equate to less resistance from the steel? (just a guess) Also,the type of bullet for each caliber makes a big difference. That kind of reminds me of that YT video where they did a penetration test and shot trees with 4 different calibers.(.308,7.62x39,.223.,and 5.45x39) The 5.45 penetrated the best while the .308 was last, a head scratcher for sure. IMO, the 5.45 having the smallest diameter bullet of the 4 played a factor.

I don't get why alot of folks directly compare an M4/AR (5.56/.223) to a 7.62 AK. A more apples to apples comparison would be a 5.45 AK.
