A. even in writing orders me to do something that I know is wrong I'd have to take my chances in a court marshal that by not blindly following an order I had performed my duty and kept my oath. it depends on a few factors, 1st being what do you need out of the gun? with a 223 / 5.56 barrel length effects velocity / performance between the 16 and 20 and even the 24 inch barrels that are available. a solid stock is more stable for accuracy but offers less in handling some. if using optics a flattop is better but you can lose having an iron backup ready. I use a plain Jane Bushmaster 20" heavy barrel flattop with a Millet DMS 1-4 so even if the battery goes dead the dots still there in black.
