  1. "Caution: NEVER SHOOT your gun with the Poly-Choke sleeve unscrewed beyond the two reverse choke settings or with THE SLEEVE REMOVED, As you will severely damage or ruin the Poly-Choke." http://www.poly-choke.com/InstructionPage.htm
  2. How's about a pic of the parts so we can see what you're talking about?
  3. The problem is a lot of these newbies are to damn lazy to read, let alone search. Seems some actually want special attention.
  4. Great advice, except you forgot Polishing and Reprofiling.

Welcome. A good recoil pad and hold it tight to your shoulder and you'll be fine.
  6. Reprofiling and polishing the bolt, bolt carrer, and other internals. There is a thread (several) here that covers that very well. If you don't feel like you aren't mechanically able or don't have the tools to do it (a Dremel and attachments) there are members here that provide those services ($$$). Reprofiling the bolt makes a huge difference on loading a full mag on a closed bolt. Messaging the internals just makes it run better, and IMHO should be considered before any work to the gas system.
  7. That butt stock should bolt right on and the hand guard can be made to fit. Remember though that those are Russian made and DO NOT count towards 922r compliance. Had they been available when I was building mine I probably would have gone with them. I did the full conversion though and made a custom thumbhole stock.
  8. Sabot slugs are for rifled barrels. You'll get good accuracy with plain Foster (rifled) slugs, so don't waste your $ on the more costly ones. With the Remington Sluggers from Walmart I'm grouping 5 in minute of paper plate consistently at 100 yards, with iron sights. Ive got to say that I got through hundreds more birdshot than slugs because magdumps are just so fun. It's easy to waste a 100 round box in a matter of minutes.
  9. Please take some time and read before........ http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=63148&st=0&p=604967entry604967
  10. Your choices are personal preference. That kit does not contain the hand guard. Check parts prices as compared to kit prices and shop around, but don't forget additional shipping charges. CCS is great to do business with and don't forget the member discount.
  11. Looks like you take off the old stock and the new one replaces it. No welding. You'll see once you get the old one off.
  12. NY turkey is month of may. I got one last fall with mine though.
  13. Screw it then. I was going to make it legal but forget it. I'm going to make it the way I want now. Screw them. Maybe when they turn enough of us into criminals we'll actually do something about it instead of engage in impotent bitching on the internet... Being you aren't in NY yet you can do that. NY already has stoopid restrictions, but the proposed legislation with further remove our rights.
  14. Look at some of the links in the business members sections on the main page. Go from there.
  15. I've seen plenty of pictures of the wood sporter .308 stock sets on the S12. I believe the butt stock fits but the HG has to be modified to fit. Look in the picture post and you should find one there.
  16. I can't understand your question.
  17. Just so you know..... http://open.nysenate.gov/legislation/api/1.0/html/bill/S1440-2011 and http://open.nysenate.gov/legislation/api/1.0/html/bill/A1479-2011 are worth a read. If these pass it won't matter what you do to an S12, it will be an AW. Scary and disheartening. Pay special attention to S 2. Subdivision 22 of section 265.00 sect. D
  18. There, I fixed that for you. (BB is a size of shot) Yes you can, to answer your question.
  19. I think they were talking about notching where the BHO spring sits so it won't jump off. The notch on the top end would be for easier removal of the safety lever.
  20. Take it back apart and put it back together. Something's jambed in there.
