  1. Just curious, I converted my factory LRBHO about a month or so ago, and I had nothing but problems with that lever getting hung up on shell rims upon mag insertion, and after each shot. So much so that I removed it and will try it that way on my next trip out. The only one that would work reliably was the factory 5 rounder. The rest would hang up on each shell in my 10 round promag, and my 5 round surefires. I did remove enough material from each of the other mags so that the lever was not hanging up. Did you not have any issues with that? If so what was the issue with the factory mag wi
  2. Are you able to make them actuate the LRBHO or just work with it in place?
  3. So, short of buying more factory LRBHO mags (are these even available?), is the only other solution to remove that lever? Are you coming out with something to fix this snafu, masta?
  4. Like the title says, took out my newly converted S12 this past weekend with some friends and every mag (Surefire and ProMag) I had wouldn't work reliably with it. The factory 5 rounder worked great, but even after I removed the required material from the non factory magazines to allow the tab to fit without binding, each succesive shell would get it's rim stuck underneath the metal lever which actuates the LRBHO. This would then happen on EACH AND EVERY subsequent round. Very frustrating. Has anyone else run into this issue, I realize that there are not a lot of these factory LRBHO S12's
  5. interested as well, I have a UBR on another build, but don't have an adapter to fit it up to the s12. Looks like the above adapter won't work with the factory trunion.
  6. If you don't mind, what did that run you? If i were to get one, I think I'd either remove the bottom rail or cut it down by 1/2. Does the bottom rail keep the top rail on as well, or are they separate?
  7. What magazine adapter is that?
  8. Looks like you add one of the lower rails to the optic sight mounts (both found here): http://www.ultimak.com/BuyAK.htm Also, looking for more info on this particular rifle (above), where did you get it? What length is that barrel?
  9. Is the only difference between this and the regular adapter that it bolts into place?
  10. Not to be snide, but I'd worry more about the unpainted portion of the receiver, instead of how things match up. That being said, I'd stick with who made the rest of the furniture (tapco)for a grip - if you're dead set on matching. Otherwise go with the black hogue and it won't matter. I'm a big fan of the Ergo, which is also rubberized as another option.
  11. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=741666 That's about as cheap as you can get the complete setup for a folding stock. It's functional, but might not be as tacticool as the ACE setup. The skeletonized stock with need the $60 adapter to allow it to fold, the $65 is for the stock only so you're at about $125 for the stock and adapter from Carolina Shooters.
  12. I've got the Tech Sights (windage only adjustable a1 style at the rear) with an Aimpoint Micro and they cowitness lower 1/3 just fine. I did run into trouble cowitnessing when I tried to cheap out with a micro copy (the Konus) which had the light emitter right on the bottom at 6 o'clock. Jim, are you sure you have a real Aimpoint Micro? The emitter for those is up on the side about 3:30 or 4:00, not the bottom (at least the H-1 I just purchased from midway is).
  13. Just make sure you get some extra pipe cutter blades. I used one of those and went through both of the "extra" packages I bought, before getting through.
  14. On the pipe cutter, make sure you get at least 2 packages of those replacement cutting wheels (and make sure they're not the ones for aluminum or copper pipe). That barrel shroud ate through 4 of them before I got it cut all the way through.
