shootin, choppin, wrenchin, slappin my 1939 Kay doublebass.... the usual greaser shenanigans
  1. today actually marks 2 weeks without so much as a drag for me. i'm 27, and smoked since i was 15. trying to stay active, watch what i eat, and exercise to keep from gaining weight. so far, so good...even went out drinking on NYE without having one!
  2. thanks all for the help. this is starting to look like a pricey venture, but all my toys seem to be anymore.
  3. still have shrouded bbl. planned on cutting that off and threading for 14x1 LH, unless there's a better way to go. how are you attaching 24mm brakes to the bbl? thread the shroud?
  4. i'm shopping for a brake. i friggin love the looks of the amd-style, as well as the $15 price tag. but i have no idea concerning the functionality, so i'm hoping to get a couple suggestions. my main concerns are price and muzzle climb. i can handle shoulder-thumping, and i can live with flash, but i feel i my follow up shots would be a little quicker if i could keep the muzzle from hopping up. what are my options?
  5. get a welder. a big enough generator to run the "whole house" plus all the usefulness of a welder.
  6. bought a tapco folder from this cat via the classified section. exactly what he said it was, as he said it was. Shipped to me carefully and in a timely manner. I would have no hesitation dealing with him again.
  7. i'll take the folder. how do you want paid? might be interested in the cheapo handguard if you want to separate.
  8. this or this i have the cube 30, as do a couple of buddies. any tone you want, and extremely loud for it's size. The cube80 has enough power to be the last amp she's likely to ever need, considering it has an extension speaker output and enough wattage to drive another 4x12" if so desired. honestly, though, my cube30 will keep up with most 100w 2x12" solid-state amps out there, and you can get great sounds out of it for anything from bluegrass to death-metal.
  9. kinda looks like a possum. but i'm no zoologist. could be a chupacabra.
  10. camping tonight. range trip tomorrow!

  11. i pray over my food and eat what i want. it's never let me down.
  12. truth...stay away from the behringer stuff. you cant go wrong with a peavey amp. you can by better sounding stuff, but you cant buy anything tougher.
