  1. Great idea, please post pics when you are done. I keep as much ammo in my safe as possible but space is very limited.

  2. Modifying Old fridge in shop to hold my SHTF ammo. Pics and data to come..

    1. Klassy Kalashnikov

      Klassy Kalashnikov

nice! can't wait to see the results

  3. The Steyr chambered for the .376 would pack a punch! May reduce Mag size or increase weight though! I dont know if the Army is looking for the best existing platform to fit their needs or a new platform completely. Left to right: .308 Win, .350 Rem Mag, .376 Steyr, .375 H&H
  4. Not a Saiga and no high cap magazine but would still be a sweet addition to the family. Can wait to see the range reports for that one.
  5. I picked up a CZ bolt for the x39 and did not know Remington made one. Have yet to go to the range but glad to see another bolt! Looks great!
  6. Started to clean garage an realized this will be a 2 day event. At the very least.

  7. Finally found a range thats close to my house in Northern VA. Been driving to Quantico.

I go to 2 Ranges in NoVA. NRA and Clark's Brothers. Both have info online. How is Quantico range?

  8. Yes ,most definitly would buy a x54r version. A modern day Russian BAR!! Though lighter with more rounds.
  9. There are many voiced/documented issues regarding the platforms reliability as well as the caliber that date back to its first use in South East Asia and the complaints are still stacking up. What used to be a heated issue amongst military arms collectors, Vets, and bloggers have a new group chiming in, the US Army. This is what makes the situation shift gears from a debate amongst the upper military officials to creating a solution to fix the isue(s). I enjoy my DPMS 308(1000+ with out one FTF/FTE) but have never seen it perform in extreme conditions and don''t plan on dumping sand down
  10. The HK 416 is a good option. Same caliber but with many improvements over the M4.
  11. My boy Mason(6) took a handle bar in the gut in a bike accident during our bike trip last weekend. A week later after surgery took out some of his intestine he is walking around and climbing up his bunk bed. Kids a champ.

    Crazy how fast children recover.

  12. But seriously... If every solder of ours had a 30.06 or a .308 & the marksmanship of a sharp Marine...... Sharp Marine? When you find one let me know-wont hold breath LOL. Just joking about the Marine thing. No really when you find one pm me Don't know why the 16 lasted so long but it should have never seen action again after Vietnam---military arms collectors yes. The forward assist should not have been the answer for its poor performance in that harsh environment. We need a rifle that has more punch down the line, durable in extreme conditions, not too heavy and easy t
  13. Found an Ipod attachment that includes an application that gives +20 to damage and improves overall reliability. I might sport on of these on my S12!
  14. The Army is looking for a suitable solution/replacement for the rifles sporting the 5.56 in the middle east to better match the AK-47. So what caliber/rifle do you think should replace America's rifle? It is a common stance on this forum although not all inclusive, that the M-16 and its variants have their issues when it comes to harsh enviorments and this is where the AK-47 strong points stand out. I took some excerpts from the Army's field report and Major General Robert Scales from a news report. "The U.S. military is re-evaluating the Army's use of the M4 rifle in Afghanistan
