  1. I use a CSS puck and it works great for me with Federal Bulk from Wallyworld......with a Gunfixr Gas Plug on #3. Todd
  2. What do you all use to transport your Saiga(s) to and from the range ? I would like to find a hard case that I can fit the gun in along with a few magazines and I would hope an MD drum, however, I think it is too thick to fit in most hard cases without trimming the foam. Todd
  3. I have seen those pictures of the OP and I thought I read it was from the late Charleton Heston........ Todd
  4. I have a Judge with 6' barrel, great gun. Have you tried the Winchester PDX-1 ammo made just for the Judge? It is a .410 shell loaded with three copper clad discs and 12 BB's. I have shot several boxes and now will buy nothing but them for Home Defense. Google Winchester .410 and you will find a complete site on this ammo. Have not tried the Winchester ammo, but bought a box of the Federal 410 handgun ammo......I think it is called "Personal Defense"...4 pellets of 000 buck. I believe I heard the pellets are 38 caliber.
  5. I bought a twister puck shortly after getting my Saiga 12 mostly for compliance parts count. I have never had any problems with it cycling Federal bulk and thought I did a good thing until I was flamed in another thread, so I bought a CSS puck and it works just the same.. I haven't noticed any difference from the OEM puck to the twister puck to the CSS puck...they all work just fine for me. Maybe I am just lucky, I don't know. Todd
  6. Call Greg at CSS and ask him if you can trade it for one of his new pucks. Twister pucks are JUNK!!!!!!!! Just curious......why do you think the twister pucks are junk ? I have had one for a while now and have had no problems with it. I just take it out every once in a while and clean the passages and put it back in.. Todd I had it get stuck in my gas block and it took a big hammer and a steel rod to get it out. I got a new one and it did the same thing. It also caused my gun to cycle like shit. I changed ONLY changing the puck back to the factory and my Fte's were all but gon

  8. I bought a Judge a few months ago and like it a lot and find that it is solid and tight. It was the first Taurus I ever bought as I tend to stick to USA made firearms as best I can....(have an S12 though ) At the time, Taurus was really the only one that offered a 410/45LC and that is what I wanted as the Thunder5 was no longer in production. I see that S&W has come onboard with their own version, but they are just about double the price.... Todd
  9. I just read from a couple places that Marlin is closing it doors at it's facility in CT. Don't know if anyone else heard that or not....if it is indeed true, that is very sad http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2010/03/marlin-to-shut-down-new-haven-plant-and-lay-off-265-workers/ Todd
  10. The one gun shop by me has 250 round Federal cases for $49.99 right now......picked up one yesterday and will be going back out for a couple more. Todd
  11. I prefer the Federal and haven't had any problems with them. I just pick up a box every time I go in Walmart no matter what I am in there for.... Todd
  12. I took mine trap shooting with my friends and even though you load a single round at a time (sort of a pain with the saiga) it went fine. It took me a few clays to get used to it shooting lower than my regular shotgun, but nobody had any problems with me using it. I did adjust the polychoke down to full.. Can't wait to take it to the sporting clays course this spring.. Todd
  13. I have an AMT Automag IV, that was from the original AMT (Arcadia Machine & Tool) when they were in Irwindale, CA. After they went under, Galena Industries continued to produce them and now some of the AMT line are being produced by the High Standard company which I believe are in Texas somewhere. If you have the original AMT from California, I would hold onto it. I have shot my AMT a few times, but not enough to break it in, and have sort of "stock-piled" the .45 Win Mag it shoots, buying it when I do find it. I have talked to several people about AMTs and I have been told you either
