  1. You're working with iron sights on two unproven surfaces that likely will not hold a "true" zero. What are you trying to do? You could get an ACE bolt on front sight with a TWS gen II rail with integrated/add on peep sight. That's what I'd do.
  2. Can you post a link of what you're talking about? I work for a supply company and I wanna get one of these. Thanks!
  3. Where's Klassy at? Anywho, depending on your Saiga, you make have one slot for the pin already drilled for the block. If that's the case, eyeball it with the new GB on there and then pound it in. It shoudl index it. Then cycle the bolt a few times to make sure the piston on the BCG isn't binding. Lastly after removing the bolt and making sure it's unloaded, plug the barrel (in the chamber and blow through the barrel (from the crown). You should feel air go through the gasblock. Then drill the hole for the other pin and pound it in. The GB isn't as finicky as the FSB. For the F
  4. Who cares, we'll have to refinish them. Good excuse to get the holes welded up at the same time.
  5. The buffer tubes are not counted in 922r (and neither are cheek pieces or buttpads, etc, etc). Only the stock itself would matter. I've heard people say that it is counted and some say it isn't. Does anyone else have an opinion? Whoever said a buffer tube does count, has no idea what they're talking about. Every single part that is counted in 922r is clearly listed. Here's the list we have here in the 922 section: http://forum.saiga-1...showtopic=18530 As opposed to a lot of things about certain gun laws.....there's really no debate here, regarding a buf

  7. Mr Relleno, I have seen your Boomsticks. One of them would look better in a different hue. This should be the beginning piece of your project.
  8. I would get this one... http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=60824&st=0&p=579852&fromsearch=1&&do=findComment&comment=579852
  9. What about 922r? If I got the CAA with a Magpul does that count as US? What about VLTOR with Magpul? Which one would count? oh geez

  11. Hi, I'm parting out one of my Saiga's and am selling the Saiga specific Midwest Inudstries Quad rail in FDE. There is no damage and almost little to no where on the rail. All mounting hardware is included and you will receive the original packaging (box and instructions). I paid $135+Shipping for this in May and waited 4 months to get it. Asking $100 shipped OBO I will accept discreet paypal +4% or USPS postal order only
  12. I wouldn't wait until after Christmas to sell it. Are you aware of the prices of NEW firearms right now? I mean seriously, they are falling like ROCKS. My vote is that Saiga 7.62 prices (unrestored) will fall sub $300 in the next year or so. If you don't unload it now you'll be sitting on it for a long time. The days of Obama-Crazed Newbies buying up everything without question ARE OVER. All those guns they paid too much for are clogging up Gunbroker and not being purchased. Your flat top Saiga is just backround music now. Sorry, The unsilent majority.
  13. OMG +1 to your entire post. I have it on mine, too. I'm glad I had it when I went to the range with it for the first time. No way I could have shot it without it.
  14. Thanks for the numbers and tips, guys!
  15. Me personally? No. See my post above about rolling my own. (I must have missed this part of your post before) But for example, ClassyKalashnikov had/has a converted x39 in the WTS section for $499. If I were the type that didn't want to hassle with converting for myself......I'd pay it. When you break it down; $350ish for a factory x39 and then add in the parts he has, and the labor involved....he's taking a loss at that price, IMO. But everyone's opinion will vary on the "worth" of anything. It's subjective. You're right, $499 for a ready to go rifle (converted by s
