  1. OK Forgive the newbie question, but who's CGW?
  2. Does anyone make a virgin US made receiver that I could use to make an AOW with? Email me here
  3. Also a good idea! I will carry a dremel with me tommorow.
  4. Yup that's what I am talking about! Thanks!
  5. I have a S12 shorty that I am working on, when you fire it it catches the bolt after every shot or every other shot. Not cool. Part of it is because I don't know how the spring is installed I think. Can someone assist? Maybe a diagram or photo showing how the catch is installed would help. Also disregard the other post below, I accidentally posted using my screen name instead of the topic!! Duh...

  7. Nailbomb, not that it's a functional issue at all, but it looks like your welder installed the HK sight hood backwards. The HK weapons that I have seen have the slope facing towards the muzzle. Nice welds though!
  8. Let me get this straight, you need to know how to get your wood on? Heh, heh hehh. He said wood.
  9. Might be worth mentioning that threads cut with a die nut are only good for flash hiders. Can't use em with suppressors. If thats your intention then you have saved some coin and I will shut up!
  10. Yeah I think pinning them on is out of the question for me. I have done quite a few pin jobs on various other guns, so I am familiar with the process. But I also know how thin the shotgun barrel is and how poorly centerline pinning has performed on the other guns I have done ( mostly AR15's).
  11. Shooter I LOVE your photo of my wife Yes I plan to shorten a barrel and perm attach something on it to non NFA configuration. We can't have SBS's in this state.
  12. Curious how folks are permanantly attaching muzzle brakes etc. to a Saiga 12? The barrel thickness is too thin for pinning, and the same seems true for silver solder? I am not that good with silver solder but I can probably send it out to have that done if need be if thats the best process to use. Anyway, just thought I would consult with the S12.com gurus before I tried learning from my own mistakes!
  13. Just curious how well folks think a CAR15 stock would work on a Saiga 12? Would it buckle under the recoil or would it work just fine? First hand accounts welcome!
  14. Just so were clear, the boss I speak of is a class 2 SOT so NFA is possible, but he insists the the guns be non NFA. I dissagree with the instructions I am getting. I was pretty sure it was from the bolt face on a closed bolt, so your statement is pretty much confirmation.
  15. OK I have been tasked with shortening a couple S12's to their minimum legal length without going NFA. I think theres only 1/2" I can trim off to make it 18.5" and thats not worth the effort. I am being told otherwise. So the question is where does the chamber face or measuring point begin on a S12? I would say it's from the bolt face on a closed bolt in the receiver. My boss says it's from the extension. I need to please my boss, but don't need to break the law. Because in the end, I cannot tell ATF that I did it just because I was told to. They would still come after me.
