  1. Ended up Cerakoting mine last month but forgot to put up the pics, not sure if I'm going to keep the factory handguard but otherwise it's ready to go. Put just over 300 rds through it since the conversion and it's running like a champ.
  2. Just finished the last big component of what I'm going for on mine today. I converted it a few weeks ago but was out of town for work so today was the first chance to get in the garage and get it done. First I rounded down the bolt release so it would be flush when in lock and barely protrude when disengaged, then removed the FSB, recrowned the muzzle, turned down the barrel for the FSB to be moved back and threaded it 5/8x24 so I could toss a dyna comp on it (love those) and then welded a Choate extended op handle from an 1100 Tac 4 on the left side of the bolt carrier and trimmed the dust
  3. I just got another one for one of my Saigas a few weeks ago. Finally had time to tune it Sunday and once it hit the sweet spot I mixed mags of Fed Bulk 8s, Buckshot, Slugs, and Rem Game load 7 1/2s. Every one ejected into the same pile about 4-6 feet away except for the Rem Nitro Turkey 4s that went about a foot further.
  4. the swap out was explained here: http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/70109-stephanie-switches-guns/page__st__30 Thanks, didn't see that. I get that it's tv and that kind of thing comes with the territory, just not for me.
  5. I get that the producers run these shows, but why did they have you pass off training "cheeto" rounds as HEDP? http://youtu.be/YFKzElVOZIg And the Beretta swap out for the Desert Eagle was a bit shady. http://www.dump.com/2011/08/25/nice-...t-eagle-video/
  6. I just now saw this, I assume you're close to Chatuge then? I used to hang out at Jack Rabbit and Hiawassee all the time when I was younger.
  7. From Macon county, Was stationed in Onslow county up until 2008, Now live in Forsyth. Like to think I've conquered the state so to speak haha.
  8. Just got this one about where I want it to be. It was actually the only non-OD "keeper" gun I had up until recently.
  9. Alright, heres my problem. Love my Saiga. It was converted professionally before I got it, all I've done is duracoat it. I've put around 500 rds through it with no issues whatsoever until this past saturday. I took it out, let another guy shoot it, and now the plunger is gone and the dust cover flys off every shot. I have two questions, should I just replace the plunger (if possible) or the entire guide rod assembly, and in either case where can I get basic parts? I've been looking at all the sites and I have yet to find a place that just sells the basic internals. Thanks
  10. Frmr0317 Former 0317 Was my MOS so I kept it. Started out 8541 but once they changed it I liked having the 03 prefix again. Felt less... worthless
