$100 I don't know where you're getting that from. Check the marketplace you'll find people selling them for $25 at that price why reuse the saiga one when you can get a bulgarian with the bayo lug

do you have a press? if not leave it alone. It's a lot of work to press off a gas block for very little reward

look at Arsenal and how they do it. All AK74 style, if it was that easy trust me they would offer another option

maybe I miss understood the intent of your question. Can you use it yes will it work fine yes will it work as good as a G2 no in my opinion. I have a Arsenal in a Romy G I built and it sucks and will be replaced with a G2 shortly. My 2cents get a G2
