  1. Very true, I had a problem with the disconnector and hammer surfaces as well...
  2. It was a great deal, and I've removed/replaced the appropriate parts so that it functions like a 70 series.
  3. It IS pretty cool... I would have figured that the mag would flex with all that material removed but if it doesn't cause a problem with operation, go with it!
  4. Yes, many have. Most people just make their own, all it takes is a thin piece of steel cut to fit with a hole drilled in the middle. Most use the Izzy floor plate as a template for their home made plate.
  5. Yours is too new, they didn't make the .50AE when the REAL Desert Eagles were made... since the creation of the .50, its not a desert eagle unless its a .50. It's not a Desert Eagle unless it says "Israel Military Industries" on the slide...
  6. I'm not hating or anything but... Does Leo DiCaprio come over when you shoot it????
  7. It's amazing how simple these weapons are.
  8. To further elaborate, the mag is split into three parts, body, floor-plate, and follower. By making your own floor-plate, you add one U.S. made compliance part. To answer your other question, No, no one at this time makes a mag equal to Izzy.
  9. Guess I'll head out on September 12th, it's never too cold to shoot. November tenth, I'll probably shoot too... December 12th... oh what the hell, might as well, any excuse to shoot the old S-12 will suffice, besides, we gotta make sure that we're ready for December 21st!!!!
  10. I have no problem with my ace folder... if you don't wish to cut the tang and want to go Ace, CSS sells an internal receiver block that you can install with your tang intact. I realize that Mr. Bonesteel makes a great product but then again, so does Ace. No reason to bad-mouth any other vendors here... With that being said, I'd choose a metal stock my Tromix poly stock broke when my weapon fell four feet into mud...
  11. It's like this, I could have my AR sitting on a table at a gun show: PWA upper and lower Colt M-16 parts kit (sans happy parts) and one awesomely worked trigger that basically allows of the operator of the weapon to bump-fire from the shoulder. This with a price of $950 and there would be a few people looking at it. You could have a Colt plain-jane AR sitting right beside it with a price of $1350 on it and it will sell before the "kit-gun" will... People just know that if it says Colt, it's worth it... I happen to agree, that's why I choose to carry a Colt 1911 daily. Am I a fan-bo
  12. Lol! I'm trying to convince the wife that I need one... been trying since they were re-introduced a couple of years ago, good luck...
  13. It still doesn't make any sense, you didn't shorten the barrel that much, I've been told that four at 3/32" works great down to 12" barrels. I have a feeling that once you figure out which part is robbing all of the gas or friction, you'll have to tune that autoplug back out to factory settings. We just have to figure out where it's getting hung-up...
  14. I had the same problem shortly after conversion with my first S-12, I couldn't induce the fault while hand-cycling but it would do it during live fire...
  15. Damn fine looking weapon you've got there!
  16. I've never seen an aluminum trigger guard in a Saiga...
  17. It folds both ways? How???
  18. Spring leg is stuck between disconnect and trigger, a little bend by the trigger axis pin will solve this, if it makes it worse or doesn't improve, bend the spring the other way...
  19. What stock are you running? Most are relief cut expressly to prevent this from happening...
