I too have am AFG on my Saiga - puts my hand into a good firing position for rapid transitions. I tried an EoTech, but it was just a bit too tall and made the gun feel top heavy. Now I use a c-more which is just right. without a cheek riser, it is still a bit high, but the dynamics of the optic let me use it quite well with the dot a bit below center. I would not recommend a c-more for any weapon which may be abused, but for plinking and competition, it is great.

They do have some very good shooter on the show. J.J. Racaza is as good as they get. I am a competitive shooter (shoot in three matches each month) and I shoot head to head with Caleb "Rat Fink" Giddings and he routinely cleans my clock. I have talk with Caleb a bit about the show, but he is still under an intense NDA until the show is over. He did say that everyone on the show were great marksmen, but that the stress of filming and the difficulty of the challenges did not always bring out the best in their abilities. But MAA did not jack the prices up. $299 seems like a good price. My bet is that RAA has lost the contract and K-VAR or Arsenal got it, so RAA is dumping what they have left. But then again, I have NO real info, just speculating.

I lived in California for 25 years. I finally had enough (gun laws, schools, etc) so I took my family and moved to Indiana - just got up and left. Best thing I ever did. I have a house that would have cost me $2M in california (payed less than a 2 bdr california condo), great schools, plenty of spare time and money and LOTS of cool guns. If I want the good weather, I can always visit California. So, to all those still there. You can and should leave.

I was the same way, but now I own both a 12 round and 20 round promag drum and both work great! Each did need a few swipes of a file to fit, but they lock up great.
