  1. I'll be more realistic and want say, three, maybe four......
  2. Nice! My department armorer/ firearms instructor already likes the S12 in the import configuration. He's gonna drool when I get Tony to work his magic on it AND 10 rnd mags in it!
  3. I need mags that are going to be reliable. And I'm willing to wait for them.
  4. Went to my local gun show today. The only Saiga 12 there was unmodified and selling for $450! Way over what they were selling for a couple of months ago.
  5. Can I guess that recontouring lets you lock in a loaded mag with the bolt closed?
  6. Hey, patience is my middle name. I just really need one!
  7. Before you go, leave me your S12 in your will!
  8. Can't help you on what to ask for it, but I would like to know if the barrel shroud is worth having. I let another officer carry my 9mm Storm while we were deployed in New Orleans after the hurricane. He really liked it (of course he's a short runt), and since then I have been thinking of outfitting mine.
  9. I happen to have one of these laying around. It was in a box of gun cleaning stuff I was given. It is identical to the one on the link. It won't fit my Saiga 12 barrel as the barrel od is larger than the brake's id. Fits my Mossberg nicely, but I do not trust a brake held in place by four small allen screws.
  10. The sad thing about this whole issue is the absolute stupidity of the general masses in this country! It's like they live in this insulated world where the realities of life are not seen and heard, and the absolute lies told by the media are believed completely. Case in point, we were having a discussion at work about what is NOT being reported about Iraq. During the conversation, one office chick pipes in with "Well the terrorists wouldn't have attacked the World Trade Centers if Bush hadn't invaded Iraq!" I was taken aback! How in the hell do you respond to THIS kind of thinking?! And
  11. Come on Bvamp, tell us how you REALLY feel! This is just the continuation of years of malicious work by those communists and others who hate our freedoms and are bent on taking them away from us a little here, a little there, until one day the "sheeple" of this country wake up and ask themselves "I wonder where our Second Amendment rights went?"
  12. I can wait. I still have to send my Saiga to Tony for conversion anyway.
  13. One time when were were requalifying with shotguns, one of our officers was shooting a Benneli. About three rounds into one course of fire, the front cap on the tube magazine lets go and we watched the spring go flying down range. He hasn't lived that down yet.
  14. Yeah, but they are all over $200.00. We may well see the halo rail system in that price range. But it still looks cool!
  15. Not too long ago in this end of the country, some leos got in very hot water for reselling guns. And what they did was use letterhead to bypass the 15 day wait. One had purchased some 10+ weapons in a 2 month period and had resold them all. Illegal? Probably not, but he got more than a hand slap. And had ATF knocking on his door. Morale of the story: don't wave red flags in the bull's face!
  16. I went by the gun show in my town today. Saiga 12 $329.00 Saiga 7.62x39 $219.00. I'm thinking of going back for the 7.62......
  17. And think of all the natural resources! We would have more oil than we know what to do with. Not to mention all the nice new vacations spots.
  18. I'd be interested in seeing how they hold up being dropped. Because when I run my Saiga through our course of fire, I won't have time to stick empty mags in a pocket or pouch. Will
  19. What you are saying is that if you are a LEO or military, that price is no object because there are always more taxpayers to feed the Haliburton, or whomever no-bid corrupt $3000 toilet seat machine. I think that stinks too. Perhaps, but don't overlook tha fact that a lot of law enforcement agencies are small and their officers have to buy their own equipment.
  20. I am going to be taking my S12 to work with me. A good rail system is definitely a requirement. I would like to see a little more variety, but this one looks hard to beat-if it is durable.
