  1. I'll certainly see what they are capable while i'm there, but 1st thing is 1st.... Tap and thread:)
  2. The R&R ones are SWEET!!!! I just can't justify spending $300 on something I might be able to do myself.... If I screw this up, I'll buy an R&R though... Well, I'm actually not doing it myself, I'm taking it over to a machine shop that says they can do the work, I'm hoping they're right!!!! I'll be using these charginge handles, its a steel screw and aluminum knurled knob.
  3. Here is my question, I would like to know if it is possible to tap and thread a Saiga 12 bolt carrier? Is the material too hard to tap and cut threads into? I know I have seen charging handles welded on, but my plan is to use have an ambidextrous bolt carrier that uses threaded charging handles instead of welding them on. Thanks. Mike
  4. So I have spoken to Robert about sending my S12 to get the safety installed, while it is already there, are you guys able to cut and permanently attach a muzzle device on my barrel? thanks
  5. NICE, some pics would be great and would greatly help my decision to order:)
  6. The left side handle screws onto a stud that is milled into the left side of the carrier. The right side handle inserts into a hole milled in right side of the carrier. Doug So the right side isn't threaded? Sorry, I was in a hurry at work when I wrote the above reply. The right side, the normal bolt handle location, is an integral part of the bolt carrier and is threaded on the outside to accept the aluminum bolt handle. Do the knobs match? I like continuity and I want ambi charging handles.... I just may have to order one

  8. I just talked to Robert at R&R, he's sending over the missing spring and ball bearing, I"m just gonna send the gun to him to install the safety...
  9. Just talked to Robert, he is sending me the ball bearing and spring:) I will be sending the gun over for installation...
  10. I thought the charging handles were supposed to be screw ins?
  11. Okay, I freaking out!!!! John Ashtons' build says his safety came with two springs and two ball bearings..... My R&R only came with one of each!!!! I didn't lose anything, I only have one of each.... Can I order new ones?? What do I do?
  12. John I just received my AR safety from R&R, mine only came with 1 (ONE) ball bearing and 1 (ONE) spring in the package!!!! Are you certain it was two of each.... I'm sure you are, I just have to ask...
  13. So, like the topic says, does the Titan top rail have to be milled on the left side in order to accept the use of a left sided charging handle? Thanks, Mike
  14. Hurry up Cameron!!!! I have a Saiga x39 on order... Don't make me get an UltimAk gas tube rail!!!!
  15. After receiving my AR style safety selector and looking over the installation diagram, I feel like there is far more fabrication than I'm willing to do. I want to send my S12 to you guys to install the safety selector, while its there, can you guys also weld the holds in the receiver, cut and weld my brake to my barrel? Let me know.. Thanks
  16. So thats it, I got my order placed from Robert... I'll be patiently awaiting it, we'll see if I can do the fitting myself, if not, I' guess I'm sending it off.... I'm pretty excited!!!
  17. Order placed, just waiting on phone confirmation:)
  18. Doug, Thanks, thats all I needed to know, I'll be ordering shortly. Coupon code:)? Mike
  19. Can these safety selector switches be installed as a DIY kit?!? If it doesn't require any special fitting or machining, I'll order NOW!!!
  20. When you say "more coming soon" I'm hoping your talking about the VZ-58...... The VZ gets neglected by most of the big names manufactures, sure Bonesteel and BC Tactical and a couple of others make stuff, but I can probably count the VZ accessory makers on one hand:( Keep up the good work Obi, I/WE appreciate it..
  21. You can never have enough space on the rail!!! "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it:)"
  22. The company was supposedly started by a former Navy Seal, the "HEX" design suppressors are supposed to deflect "heat waves" from obstructing the "operators" field of view, they are supposed to be GTG. About the new rail, yes, they will be sold as an accessory $175 from what I was told by their sales dept. I'm looking hard at them I like "TactiCool" stuff on my rifles. Its not like most of us are going to be humping our AKs through the mountains of Afganistan, most of our rifles are just "range queens". For those of you so concerned with weight, maybe you should stop trying to act so "Hard
  23. I've got a Saiga x39 on order and I'm already looking at accessories. I found this rail on bonesteelarmsllc.com it looks pretty sweet, but I really want to add an UltimAK gas tube mount, does anyone have any experience with this and are the two compatible? thanks
  24. I'll be doing a YouTube vid when the weapon is all done... That will be a while though since I don't have my Titan rail in yet or my ambi bolt:(
  25. This is the NCCRS installed with the SGM Tactical trunnion mount, i think it came out pretty good, sorry fore the amature workmanship, there are more pics on one of the other threads, feel free to ask me questions if you'd like.... I have been thinking about ordering that R&R targets AR safety, but I might just make one, we'll see... By mikeg253 at 2012-09-16
