  1. I second the +1! bought a rifle this summer. fast shipping, good price, great communication.
  2. Hahaha thanks Alpha Kilo, I was going for the dinzag-esque title like that AKS-12, which is what I originally wanted. One of these days I'll get one! a side folder would be cool and I thought about it but im a sucker for consistent themes. Thanks evlblkwpns! I'm glad you like it, originality is a high compliment the LOP is 12 inches to the grip and 10 to the butt of the receiver. I tried to plug the holes with the plugs from CSS that came with the conversion kit, but I couldnt force them in there, even when shaving off a little with a knife like scoutjoe recommended. One day I'd like
  3. That'd probably work great Berzerker2, let us know how it works! I just stuck mine in there, but if it comes out I might have to redo it with those screws if they work good for you good looking rifle by the way!
  4. Thanks all! I'm loving it and feels great to have it converted myself. I'm not sure of the LOP, when I get a chance I'll measure it for yall. Sorry for beating you to it ATD I'd recommend the set up though, I enjoy how it wasn't nearly as expensive as some options for us on a budget, but it still feels and looks like a complete themed gun.
  5. I call her the RPKS-12, and I love this gun. It is my favorite gun I have owned/shot/lusted after since I was a child. I love it even more than I loved Rainbow 6 back in 8th grade. And I love this forum. Without yall's help I wouldn't be aware this beautiful shotgun existed! Since joining a year ago, I have read 100s of threads, solicited yall's help, bought parts from the conveniently located and incredibly reliable business members, bought a Saiga 7.62 off of AZG, and loved every lurking minute. Thank yall! Now, after owning my S-12 since July 2010 I am ready to reveal my finished pr
  6. yeah I was surprised to find that the butt pad was so low quality it would just pop out when I stood the gun up straight. I filled it with spray foam like smoke eater suggested, squished it into the foam, and it hasn't moved yet. I put a mercury recoil absorber in there too, and it feels solid. Try filling her up! got some "good stuff" insulation foam at Lowe's for around $3
  7. That is a sweet PSL! if I had the money, I'd pick that up in a heartbeat!
  8. Yeah I'll be running a Sightmark Ultrashot on a utg side rail mount. It's supposedly low profile, but still sits rather high. I'd love one of those Texas Weapon Systems railed dust covers, but I hear you have to modify it to fit the S12 and I don't have an AK rear sight block :/
  9. That stock looks great! I put in my order for one, I can't wait until it comes in and i get it set up. I'll have to get some pics up for yall when it finally gets done. Think I'm going to get Pauly to polish up my bolt, so I'll see if I can spray foam the stock in the meantime. How's the cheek weld? i imagine its the same as a normal stock, but any suggestions for raising the cheek weld for running optics? Thanks for all the responses guys! This forum kicks ass, huh?
  10. Awesome Jpanzer, happen to have any pics? I've had my eye on it for a while now and think I'll order one tomorrow. The butt looks bigger than regular AK size, so I though it might feel a little more comfortable. Some people like to find their manhood in the most uncomfortable stocks and highest recoiling guns, but I want to make this thing the smoothest shooter I got!
  11. That's a great idea smoke eater! Do you remember what kind of spray foam you used? I dont know if there are different types for different purposes, and I'm assuming you can get that at a hardware store. How dense is that stuff? Think it might be firm enough to hold a mercury recoil buffer?
  12. Glad to hear that Royal Tiger is running a good shop, I hadn't heard anything about them so I was a little nervous about ordering. Thanks datowl! I'll certainly let yall know. I'm pretty sure it'll be hollow Tapco grade plastic. I'd be pleasantly surprised if it was otherwise. I'd love if it was solid, I'd like to attach a recoil pad, something a little more sightly than a slip on. I wrecked my other tapco stock trying to flatten out the shoulder curve to fix a kickeez grind to fit. I liked how this one under the butt plate is flat. I've been on here every day for over a year now, co
  13. I'm looking for a new buttstock on my S12. I had a tapco but I just didn't like it. It worked, but I just wanted a little more style. I have the RPK handguards and thought this stock would look pretty cool since it would kind of match the RPK theme. Also looking into getting the Arsenal RPK grip. The stock set comes from Royal Tiger Imports, which I understand is a subsidiary of Inter Ordinance rifles. The IO rifles come with this stock too. Does anyone have any experience with this stock, either on a Saiga or IO AK, or experience dealing with Royal Tiger/IO? Thanks!
  14. I love the rpk hand guard, its cheap and looks mean. I was able to cut down a Magpul MOE rail section and it attached perfectly in front of the hand guard. Does everything I need out of a shotgun rail.
