  1. I had an Eotech with backup AR Iron sights on it. I removed the Eotech and cycling did improve but not by much. However I did NOT fire it without the top rail installed.
  2. Yeah I was the one that determined that it had something to do with harmonics/flex of the weapon , I posted it last year some time I think. Took a long time and worry to come up with it, however strange of a notion as it was.

    Bayonets?

When I SBS mine will put an M1 garand bayonet on it. Sigh....Paperwork.
  4. I would do 150 on the bolt carrier. The most I would do is 175 but it had better be stainless or something. 100 on an assembled bolt.
  5. Get rid of the fucking UTG rail and test fire it without any handguards, then go from there.
  6. Might want to be carefull with welding it. Weld metal is harder than the russian receiver metal. It doesn't flex the same and over time it will crack where the strength difference is. There is a guy on here that had that problem. A few AK rivets are not hard to find at all. With a rivet gun and a bucking bar it should take 5-10 minutes to do.
  7. I must say that looks like a damned $hame.. Like the Chile guy said put another trunnion with tang in there. http://www.parts4ak47.com/ak-47_accessories/product/Stock_Adapter_Accept_AR-15_Stocks.html http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/ar-15-to-ak-47-stock-adapter.aspx?a=506925 http://www.midwayusa.com/Product/931749/mako-ar-15-style-stock-adapter-for-ak-47-rifles After doing that get one of these ^ Its an adaptor I have use on both of my saiga 12s and an AK. Yes its plastic but it brings the stock up at just the right height so its not rubbing on your thumb. Its like a seemless tran
  8. Slow down, lets not all reply at once. They have become relivant to my interests. My Vest Guy MOLLE pouches now have wear holes in them after my vest hit the floor ''ONCE'' with mags in the pouches. Im kinda looking for something a bit more military grade and came across these. I was hoping someone had some and could give feedback.
  9. http://www.antipersonnel.net/fmco/005.html I found these mag pouches and Im curious as to why I have not heard of them before. Has anyone bought anything from these guys? Are they worth a crap? Are they garbage? I have some from the vest guy and Im curious if these are any better.
  10. Yeah it could work if you get 2 of them and have them lined up even and maybe touching the handguard a bit. Its pretty ghetto but it will work.
  11. For a solid stock that you can count on with no BS. I put an AR15 A2 buttstock on both of my Saiga 12s. First you need to buy that AK to AR buttstock adapter block. Its about 20 bucks made of plastic but damn it is bolted in there tight!!! Well anyway its a solid fit and gives near perfect eye relief when shouldered. Plus you have a nice storage compartment in it. Just my 2 cents.
  12. Shit I thought you were talking about the shepherds crook. Disregard my first reply. Nothing would happen.
  13. The broken piece would work its way to the floor of the receiver and tumble around doing nothing. The weapon would continue to fire a few more shots until the trigger pivot pin worked its way out of it's hole on the left side of the receiver. The Trigger would topple to the right and the hammer would impact the the trigger hook and would not engage the hook. The bolt and bolt carrier would seize up against the hammer but not permanently. A swift kick on the back of the charging handle would dislodge it. Disassemble and replace the part.
