  1. I'd sent an email to Stormwerkz asking when they expect to get the AR style folding stock adapter in stock, and they haven't responded to my email whatsoever.
  2. It was posted on a thread somewhere/elsewhere that they are doing them on SLR106's. By the way, a Beta C-Mag doesn't fit into the MSA adapter. The drum hits the side of it before it locks up. Supposedly the DA conversion doesn't have that issue. Can anyone confirm that?
  3. This thread is oldish, but I've got an SLR-106UR coming my way so I thought I'd update it to point out that the Definitive Arms conversion is on the market. While it's more expensive and is not removable like the other design(s), it adds a last round bolt hold open which makes it interesting. I have an MSA AR mag adapter in my Saiga. 223 and I was considering the possibility of the D.A. conversion on the SLR-106UR. Has anyone seen one of those converted for AR mags yet?
  4. Widen the magwell such as with a Dremel, and replace the trigger guard/mag catch with a standard AK style one. The spacer under the SA2000M 's trigger guard that's sandwiched atop the selector stop is not standard (thicker).
  5. Can you put me in the loop? I thought the UK has some pretty strict firearm laws, as in "you can't have them." How are you able to have firearm like that? Are you in a special category or location?
  6. Before I logged in to see the pics, I expected to see he had unrolled some condoms over them!
  7. Still have to unshroud and thread the barrel, but it's coming along. Aimpoint Micro H1 2 MOA on Ultimak in modified factory handguard, MSA mag adapter, VLTOR receiver extension, Magpul CTR, and Hogue grip. I just got the Aimpoint put on and haven't shot it with it yet. I may move it forward a slot at least to give more clearance for the lens covers. I'm not sure why I'd move it any further forward, but I see lots of scout setups with red dots further away, so there must be a reason.
  8. Do you mean Graffunder? They are very nice. Brown Safe too. Those are both pretty pricey, but real solid choices. A Sturdy would do the job, or an AMSEC BF series. Fort Knox is good. Not too impressed with Liberty, but their higher end National Security is probably decent. Zanotti Armor is a lighter duty but good option for non-ground floor or if you move often, although there's a waiting period on them. Better modular design than another one on the market.
  9. I might want to try something like this. I took the 223 out with the Ultimak and modified factory handguard, and while the handguard stood up to the heat of some rapid fire, the Ultimak got quite hot and I wished there was more meat to grab onto than just the bottom portion of the factory handguard. alzona, I'm not sure if you'll see this question, but is that AFG attached to the foregrip via a picatinny rail or is it attached another way? Do you have any other pics?
  10. How do you determine when your rifle was produced? Particularly if you were not the original purchaser. Is there a way using the serial number to determine this?
  11. I just came across these looking for options for my 223. Seems like an interesting option, because you can swap around between the 14mm and 24mm devices. Also, one of them looks like it might work if you were to thread all the way back to the front sight base. I wish I had the spring and plunger in my FSB. Has anyone used any of these thread adapters? http://aa-ok.com/muz...l-thread-1.html http://aa-ok.com/muz...rel-thread.html http://aa-ok.com/24m...for-14mmlh.html
  12. I have a question about this method. How is the front of your trigger guard attached to the receiver? It looks like it may be spot welded, because I can't make out a button head screw or any fastener really. I have converted my 223 and 308 and in both instances I was able to reuse the original trigger guard, by drilling through the mag catch tower and bolting the front tab inside it, but the 12 is different, and I see that there is not really much room inside the receiver to put a fastener through where you have your front tab. There's a trunnion-like block in there. I had thought t
  13. I like the look and feel of the stock handguard. I just modded mine to fit an Ultimak.
