Coloring markings, lettering and numbers?
War Ensemble replied to War Ensemble's topic in Tech Section
Tell us how that goes. -
Ok, I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm trying to find a kosher method for coloring the markings on my receiver. Namely I'd like to bring out the lettering in white and also I'd like to color the Safe and Fire markings too. (Is there a term for this process? ) Any suggestions or experience? I recall an article from a long time ago that stated using a white crayon?? Thankyou

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'll do my range queen in some interesting colors.

I have some light scratches on the side of my S20 receiver from some metal rubbing against it. Is there a quick method for touch ups on small areas?
-
Ok I'll have to take a better look when I get back to it. I'm a state away, on weekend trip and still checking the forums.

Yup it was 3. Must have been my imagination. BTW, is there a way to date an S-20 via serial number or other markings?
-
I see a pattern (as far as I can see) of four small holes.

Thanks for the recap fellas. When I opened up the gas tube tube the other day to explore and clean the gun it looked like there was a metal shaving coming out of a port but I'm not certain as it disappeared during the process. In retrospect that made me suspicious to wonder if the gun had not been modified previously but at this point I would not know.

Thanks for the link. It was one I had come across already though but I appreciate it. I'm not looking for CCW law and I know that CCW law would not cover shotguns, I was saying that was the result of my internet searches. Type in a permutation of Ohio shotgun law and you get a few short lists of Ohio cities regulations, CCW law and other irrelevant links. Thanks.

I did some googling and I couldn't find much beyond short lists of Ohio cities and their local laws and pages regarding Ohio CCW law. Can anyone point me in the direction where I can learn what I can do TO and put ON a shotgun under Ohio law and in accordance with any applicable federal laws? Magazine capacity for instance? Thanks.

Update: Finally had the saiga out to the range today. Earlier this week I disassembled and cleaned and oiled it very thoroughly. I could only get my hands on some Fiocchi 7/8oz 3". I had a 1911 spring handy (Thanks Dad, RIP) and I popped that in, set it for 2. Anyways, functioned flawlessly with those shells.

How long is the bottom picattiny rail on the SGM tri-rail fore end?

Thankyou. -
Any Warhammer fans?

Awesome! I've played Warhammer 40k since the 90's and played just about every army out there. That looks like a generic Adeptus Astartes patch. Asdeptus Astartes is bastardization of Latin by games workshop. Various sources say it means everything from Goddesses of Love to Brotherhood of the Skilled to Lover Boys (weird, when your talking about nearly immortal 8 foot tall power armor clad genetically engineered and brainwashed super soldiers armed with 75 cal. select fire case-less mass reactive explosive rocket weapons and chainsaw swords set 38 thousand years in the future ). But for Gam
