  1. I already bought one each new 12ga and 20ga before the latest scare drove the prices through the roof but I also found a nice used 20ga locally for $425 OTD. I think I'll buy the used one too just because I still can.
  2. Now that's SWEET!! You should offer those for sale!!
  3. I've had some crappy teachers... many GOOD ones too... but some can be quite cruel, childish, ignorant and stupid. The LEO should have laughed it off, sent the student home with a "bad boy" note, and then he should have spoken to the principle about wasting valuable LEO time. EDIT: Regarding gang symbols, etc. I'm fairly sure had this been the case it would have been mentioned in the article.
  4. Not to impune the OP but I agree that one shouldn't post hearsay as fact... no matter how cinvinced one is that it's true. IMHO, it's okay to state something like, "I personally feel as though a certain thing is fact as do all the experts in the field I've spoken to". Stating hearsay as fact is simply not good form, IMO. And it's far better to name ones sources because, otherwise, it's just hearsay of hearsay and we all know how dangerous that can be. I've posted in threads things that I've read or heard and not experienced but I always state that very clearly.
  5. Could the chrome plating be cracking from expansion of the barrel?
  6. I'll be buying 5rd and 10rd sticks to compliment MD-20 drums. When the MD double-stack sticks are available and prices settle down I'll buy some of those... probably 8's and 16's assuming those are offered.
  7. Just my opinion but I agree that it's common courtesy to post intentions to buy in public. Keeping everyone else in the dark in reference to a public sale is a selfish act... again, IMO.
  8. That's my very next step after buying my place in the country with septic, water well, PV's, spare parts, etc. Regarding food; I hope to buy "mostly" from one vendor in one clean/simple/fast swoop. Some are claiming 25+ years storability. Any advice?? yup, lookup your local LDS Mormon food cannery and setup an appointment.. if they don't accept appointments from non-members you better make a Mormon friend fast.. trust me you wont find better prices anywhere. http://www.provident...1US_ENG_pdf.pdf Yup... and researching beyond that!!
  9. CSS charges $20 to your FFL. EDIT: Just ordered 3 more Saiga rifles from Greg because he is trustworthy, honest, and ships promptly... he ONLY sells what he has IN STOCK.
  10. Agree with MM on this one... where's the BATFE final rulling?
  11. Actually, POP, he's right on that one. If something exists it simply is and was. What is the definition of "pre-existence"? God?

  13. My thought also. I've been buying as many "popular" calibers in firearms as I can afford... and a minimum of 1K rounds per caliber... 2K each is preferable. Even so... that's a nice stash of 5.45.

    Yeehaw!

Please PM this forum web address. I want to visit it... sounds like a nice place.
  15. I can't help with the sights but I've bought 5 firearms from Greg... honest, helpful, friendly... customer service doesn't get any better.
  16. There are enough advocates of the .410 to convince me to buy one this week... getting the Saiga 19" and adding a polychoke as the first upgrade. I've balanced my decision based not only on the input here but also after conversing with country-living individuals who keep .410's for SD and hunting small game/fowl. Thanks, everyone!!
  17. A friend while over a couple months ago asked how many I got, after a couple moments, of me figuring, said never mind. P.S. 1 vault are regular shooters, other vault are collecters/get out ounce in great while, and family pass ons. So, yes a .410 as Cobra stated has many uses, why popular in derringer and recently Judge and S&W new revolver. .410 is nasty close up, with no/little recoil. So you're thinking it's best as an up-close and personal self-defense round. Seems like it's a good option for closer shooting of small fowl, rodents and snakes with birdshot... and coyotes, etc.
  18. Yes, lever with a long enough action to accept the extra long bullets. I'm still researching this but the 45-70 lever "seems" to be the best overall option due to commonality of the cartridge which leads to greater availability and cheaper pricing.
  19. Sold out... Anywhere else I can buy one? EDIT: Just noticed this is an old thread... still??
  20. Not scarey at all. Now, if it said something like, "My left-wing shotgun just clipped your left-wing", then maybe.
