  1. I made mine a bit different than most. I SBR'ed it then stuck a 7.62 Kestrel on it to tame it.
  2. The Huntertown Arms supperssors are user friendly and they work well. There is enough clearance built into the can that threads that are not concentric should work. I've got one mounted on a Draco that has been SBR'ed and it works pretty well. While its not quiet really, it has tame this firebreathing beast into something that is enjoyable to shoot and it is hearing safe. It looks good and it locks on to the spring pin much as the flash hider does so that it does not rotate. They retail for around 499 and are all stainless steel. Here's a pic.
  3. The fairly new Huntertown Arms 7.52 Kestral. A user servicable can built specifically for the AK. This one on an SBR'ed Draco.
  4. Another SBR'ed Draco. I've been amazed by the accuracy of this one. Its fun to shoot and although I thought the flashider would'nt do much, I havent seen any huge fireballs that SBR's are known for.
  5. Before the fix...After the fix...
  6. That's a PolyChoke breacher on there that does quite well will all loads, both low brass and high brass. Short barreled shotguns are very limited in range with an open choke, having the ability to use more or less choke can be an asset. For a patrol shotgun I would want a respectable pattern out to around 40 yards, something that no SBS will do without a choke. The PolyChoke Breacher fills the bill very well for this purpose.
  7. I can see great things happening here. With a decent forearm and a better set of sights, that thing is sure to be a hot seller. I am getting a lot of question from my customers about this gun and the availability of aftermarket parts. If you are the first one out of the block you could stand to make a fortune on it.
  8. Here's one that I'm almost done with. Some of you may remember the Bulgarian Brake clone that I built, I stuck it on here. I did this SBR a bit different than most, choosing to go the more ergonomic route by using the Magpul collapsible stock with the grip also. The folding stock mechanism is still in the white. I fabricated that too, it needs to be painted black. This gun is very comfortable to shoot and is a big hit every time I bring it to the range. Its got the new Midwest Industries rail on it.
  9. I think that in the future all of these tricked out Saiga shotguns that we are all building may actually come to be of use.
  10. It is true that the government always seems to manage to dick a good thing up.
  11. I once ate lunch with Ronald Reagan when I was in the Navy. I drank a few beers with Eugene Stoner. Every time I saw the man he was drunk. I met Burt Ward, For you younguns, he was the original Robin of "Batman and Robin" Liz Ward, Miss America 1982 used to come over to my house. She was tight with my wife, they went to college together. When she did the photo layout in Playboy, I obtained a copy. When I showed it to my wife, she said" those aren't her tits". I said, "who cares, they look good to me". She never did like the idea of fake titties, but Liz had the best titty jo
  12. Great minds thinks alike. I just did exactly what you are talking about. This gun will soon be used for my semi-annual weapons qualifaction for the small town Marshals office that I work for. This one has the 11.5 inch barrel and it is very handy, not just for entires but also to keep in the car, its very easy to get in and out and it can be done quick. As you can see, the handguard is stock, except for the fact that I milled some slots in it just for looks. I'm not a big fan of hanging stuff on my guns, so I went with the stock handguard. Here is a cell phone pic.
  13. Generally, anywhere from 2-4 weeks.
  14. I said I'd post a picture so here it is. Unfortunatley, my digital camera gave up the ghost, so here is a cell phone pic. Not great, but you get the idea. Its got the 11.5 incher with the Polychoke breacher on it. It shoots very well and balances very well, in fact, it patterns well enough that I am going to take it turkey hunting. To me, the 11.5 is the ultimate size for balance and ease of use. I'm beggining to love this thing. I did the forearm a bit differently than most, but everyone seems to like it.
