  1. Bump, and I'll throw in some cash to sweeten the deal for anyone on the fence.
  2. Perhaps but since neither of the mags are available to buy, that has prompted me to first pursue a trade.
  3. I got this recently in a trade from Sunnybean but I am quite neurotic and would like to trade it for an Izzy 8 round rock n' lock mag. I could also be interested in a Molot 8 rounder.
  4. Some have said 1290 fps but I seem to be OK at 1200. Maybe try both and see what happens. You might get lucky!
  5. I would like to trade the 2 SGM Vepr 12 magazines + CASH from me for 1 Molot Vepr 12 8 round magazine. I also might be persuaded trade the 2 magazines + CASH from me for 1 Izzy rock n' lock 8 round magazine. One of the magazines has 12 rounds through it (Federal bulk #8s) and ran fine and locked open the bolt. The other is brand new in wrap.
  6. Will you perhaps be getting some Molot 8 rounders for those of us unlucky enough to miss them whenever they pop up?
  7. I believe the comments regarding variability is correct. Mine also runs the WalMart Federal 1200 FPS bulk pack stuff even from a SGM 12 rounder.
  8. This is interesting. Did you have problems with the Molot mags as well? They show no sign of wear and I have put birdshot and slugs through them.
  9. I bump this topic because of an interesting occurrence last weekend when I was shooing my Vepr 12 with my new SGM 12s. Before taking them out the first time I had manually broken them in by loading and unloading them and inserting them and removing them several times to make sure I was getting a strong lockup. The one on the right in both pictures below ran fine and I was shooting Federal Multipurpose loads in #8. However, the one on the left was feeding fine but on the 6th or 7th shot the magazine fell out of the gun and would fall out each subsequent shot. I noticed there was a chip mi
  10. Just out of curiosity are you referring to Molot USA or Atlantic? Spent one night out of town and missed these! ARG!
  11. Probably trying to freak you out with his bluff. I mean, what would a police report with your email say, "Customer upset over prices of items offered." If there were no threats then all you did was send in a complaint. If every vendor did this with every angry email they'd probably be out of business.
  12. Though didn't the original S12s have 1 piece bolts instead of 2. Of course, that would be if your shotgun was made back in the 90s. The year of manufacture is the first two digits of the serial number.
  13. I saw a Izzy rock n lock 8 rounder on there a week or so ago that was bid up past $200 and had a BIN price of like $380 or something crazy like that.
  14. The timing is great considering his new movie is called "Bullet to the Head" and all the previews I've seen so far are guns and explosions. Rambicile = this is your brain on steroids.
  15. This lever has been modified and will work in a Kalashnikov pattern shotgun but not the rifle. The fitting process removed enough material to not act as a safety in a rifle so this will be for shotguns only. I'd like to get out what I put in: $30 shipped. Thanks!
  16. Speak for yourself. My familiar platform is the AR, not the AK, and I've been waiting for something like this to exist for years. I would like it better if it were DGI instead of short-stroke, but I'm still sold. (Remind me again why I'm a member here?) Proprietary ammo is a huge gamble but I hope they pull it off. Molding the whole shell out of plastic should help keep initial production cost down, I would think, and it isn't like that hasn't been done with standard 12ga shells before. Edit: I'm a lot more interested in this than I ever was in the MKA-1919. Is it safe to say tha
  17. This is really cool but as misterT said, I hope they're not $2000+ and take ammo that is $1 a round. Now if they flood the market with inexpensive ammo that could attract buyers especially if you can't reload the hulls.
  18. This stuff pisses me off as well. I was looking for a gas station in the Cincinnati area that sells real gas and when I checked at pure-gas.org there are none within normal driving distances. Perhaps this is a payoff to the corn farmers (since they grow it), the ethanol manufactures (because they make it) and the automobile industry (because they make new cars and replacement parts). We are just the ones footing the bill.
  19. I had this issue as well as a few other members. It happens when the mags are removed from the mold too soon and the mag body tapers too much towards the feed lips and the rounds and follower bind. I contacted them through the forum and had new mags on my doorstep one week after I shipped the old ones out. They'll warranty your mags. I wonder if they've been trying to speed up manufacture to keep up with the demand for them.
  20. Into what kind of rifle are you trying to use these? Is it an unconverted Saiga, converted Saiga, etc?
  21. Two points: 1) It is interesting that you mention gas relief ports as this was the idea behind the ETac TwisterPuc Magnum which had the same thing to allow extra gas to blow by and reduce carrier speed. 2) I agree about the "self adjusting" thing. I'd seen enough pics of the gas system before I bought mine to determine that it was not so much self adjusting (ala Beretta A400 or Remington Versamax) as it was designed to fire and chamber a wide variety of ammunition. Presumably you will wear the gun more firing 3" shells in the way you'd wear a handgun faster if you shoot a lot of +P o
  22. I bet with something as simple as these are that CSS could get them made quickly and for less than $60 each. This would be a great option to increase the # of rounds in the factory mag while we're waiting for an unknown future time when we can get the real deal from Rus Military.
