  1. TEASE... Where? Pics? Link? Here is a pic from Centerfire System's site: You can see the unfinished furniture. The square backs are nice but the way they're coming in and the price increases doesn't really make me sad that I bought a slant cut receiver with beautiful furniture. Looks like they also still have Vepr 12s.
  2. I actually emailed Dirk at Planet-of-Gun asking about placing an order and he wrote a nice email back telling me that he does not ship to the US.
  3. Centerfire Systems also has them in stock for $1399. Just checked at 2:31 eastern.
  4. I just saw these tonight on Centerfire's site. Pics look like the front guard is also rough and unfinished. I can sorta understand the rear as it will not be hard to replace them but the front handguard takes more effort to get handguard retainers and everything right?
  5. Are the Russian 8s he bought Izzy or Molot and from where did he get them?
  6. PapaZorro said that the threading is the same but that the inner diameter of the VEPR barrel is like 200 microns larger. I have not measured it myself but could be something to consider depending on exactly what kind of device you want to install.
  7. I might go against the grain but I would NOT pay $1000 for an unconverted Saiga rifle. K-Var still has several Vepr rifles in stock for significantly less than $1000. In fact, they have them in 5.45x39 ($689) and .223 ($729). I would much rather pay those prices for a Vepr rifle than $1000+ for an unconverted Saiga. Less work has to be done to the Veprs as well.
  8. I also have a Beretta Neos and really like it. Does it have to be semi-auto? You could try a Ruger SP101 in .22, Ruger Single 10 or some other revolver variant.
  9. Got that email too. 30 round Tapco AK mags were in stock and listed at $39.99 each.
  10. Not sure what to tell you but here is a slight aside. My first two SGM 12s for the Vepr had mag bodies that narrowed too much towards the top. From the time that I sent them in to the time that I got them back was 1 week. So if you have some issues SGM is very willing to help you out. The replacements I broke in by hand by loading and unloading them until the rounds would no longer stick. My final test was to cycle them manually (vigorously) through the action which they did without failing. Needless to say, if I have more issue I have no doubt that SGM will help me out. Drop them
  11. A black polymer stock may be US made. If it is, there will be a "US" somewhere on the stock. Other than that, all other Vepr parts are Russian made.
  12. If you're a licensed manufacturer (but a specific type like SOT not just an FFL 07) and you have a letter from an organization that could own it (like a law enforcement agency) stating that they would like to see one, then it can be built. The LEO agency doesn't have to buy it and the SOT can keep it. I think that is how it works. But the take home message is that it is an extremely non-trivial task.
  13. They can always sell the leftovers to government agencies. Or UN peacekeepers. OR they'd run them over with carbon neutral tanks and recycle the bits into green friendly clothing.
  14. I was looking for S12 rock n' lock and V12 mags when I noticed that he has listed in stock Izzy 10 rounders for the S20. They are priced crazy cheap at 24 pounds which minus VAT and including the exchange rate is like $32 a piece.
  15. I was told they were all checked and none were the 2 round variety. Thank you for letting me know!
  16. Whoa that looks amazing and is a tremendous collection!
  17. That is hilarious. A few notes: 1) He lists the weight at 30 pounds. 30 pounds. 2) You can get the original box for an extra $5. 3) Shipping is estimated to cost $40-$50 which you think at $4000+ you could throw in. 4) Originally wanted PayPal only but changed it not because you can't use PayPal for gun purchases but because of the drum being over 10 rounds. WOW!
  18. Just for the record, his name is Mike Davidson not Mike Adams.
  19. You could probably mod the rock n' locks to work in a magwell. Some have reported that the factory 5s will work without modification at least in the V12. The factory 8s would need to be filed. If you have any factory 8 round rock n' locks you'd like to liquidate, let me know.
  20. What is funny is that he had a bit of the truth and so did she. 1) The problem is that Social Security has always been a Ponzi Scheme from the get go, not just since the 90s. In fact, the courts ruled back in the 50s that no one has a right to Social Security payments and that the money you pay into the system is merely a tax and not in any way "your money". So she doesn't actually understand the structure of SS. 2) She is a hypocrite because she spent 39 years as a school teacher. What paid her salary and the taxes for SS that she claims to have a right to? Tax money. That is no
  21. Thank you for letting me know. Should I send them to the address listed under the "Contact Us" tab of your website?
  22. Both of my SGM 12s do the exact same thing which I checked after I read this thread. I took them apart and the follower does not slide freely in the mag body. It sticks in the last 10% or so before the feed lips. The mags then produce rounds in the body exactly like the one shown in the OP. Now that I look at them disassembled it appears that the clearance on the sides of the follower diminishes as it approaches the feed lips on both which causes just enough sticking to cause sluggish feeding. ---> Question for SGM: if the follower does not move freely in the magazine
