  1. Have to wait and see who's / what components they use or if they do it in house. Other than that, how it's all fitted together that's were it's either a good or a great 1911. I think I have one great 1911 and a couple of real good ones. Doesn't matter in a way all of them can shoot better groups than I can shoot them.
  2. Damn I've lived a very sheltered life. Closest thing I did to jumping anything in the military was I threw myself on a beer keg (thank God no were grenades handy) that others might live. The only award for this type action was a hangover they could make a movie about.
  3. Totally agree if it can break, it will break. That and the old man's thing about if it’s got tits or tires you’re going to have trouble with it and want a new one are truths you can bank on.
  4. I had a G23 I traded off years ago but that was cause I didn't shoot it particularly well, I really like the long slides better 17L and 24 plus if Glock made a Buntline I'd have one. As far as I know from the new owner of the 23 he hasn't had any issues but he doesn't shoot a lot. I'd picked up the G19 for looking at as a possible carry gun and to play IDPA with (just put on a little better sights, swapped out for lighter Wolff trigger springs, and put in a 3.5 lb connector, should note still using a new factory recoil spring, prior owner had Glock armors go over the gun every year at a G
  5. Over the years I've employed various items, tools, and guns to remove unwanted visitors that slither, crawl, walk, or even fly into the area. While in a lot of cases a brick would work and any gun is overkill there are 2 factors that come into play: 1st is convenience seeing how I've already got some mags loaded, 2nd is the simple fact every once in a while what the hell I get to shoot something (not exactly Boone and Crockett but still cool). The 20 gauge with a variety of loads is my choice for a 1 size fits all for my local area, but I've got a 9mm on stand by for a certain
  6. An Italian company Rosco has been putting something like them out for Benellis for a while.
  7. On the supply side they might be being hoarded by gas station owners getting ready for the reaction to more raises in gas prices. :dollar:
  8. The world and the cops have changed with the times (not so much for the better) some of the best examples I can think of on how law enforcement has changed is shown in these photos of English and New York police:
  9. One of the things with this type of problem is simply you don't have the facts, so unless you have first hand knowledge everything is just gut feeling, bullshit, and/or speculation. The mans dead so that's one side of the story that will never be known completely. While from sitting here 71 shots and the way the story was written it sure doesn't look good, (my gut feeling, bullshit, and/or speculation) I wasn't there and when guns are involved decisions have to be made in a split second. Cops are people and they have to make a choice shoot or possibility be shot. I'm glad the
  10. Who would they be supporting with a Hind, the Cartels? We just make them some parts and don't really ask what's going on . We're manufacturing mercenaries and they pay their bills on time. Most usage is for training our military so the troops know there is stuff out there they may not want to just wave at. They do deploy all around the place so people may think Red Dawn has started.
  11. might be these guys http://www.vscglobal.com/warfighter.html we work on this one sometimes:
  12. here's a good chart about stopping power, you loose about 20% going from a 9 to a 380 on one shot, make sure you double tap everything and you'll be fine. http://www.chuckhawks.com/handgun_power_chart.htm
