  1. I remember looking for a S-12 at all the local gun shops back in 01-04. Couldn't find one that would order one for me. Luckily I picked up one NIB for 375 in the fall of 2007. If they were 300 bucks back in 01 I guess I didn't do too bad at 375 I wish I had more than one
  2. I assumed because it is low recoil, it may not function on setting 1 (highbrass) in some guns. It would most definitely work on setting 2 (lowbrass) I've only shot the ranger loads out of an 870 so I can't comment on them other than the recoil is less than standard buck.
  3. I paid $300 for mine in late 06. That being said, a stamped steel rifle isn't worth 700 bucks in my opinion.
  4. My S12 is one of the most neutrally balanced weapons I have held. That looks like a heavy bitch, which would offset the balance. No thanks
  5. That looks like the standard AK safety to me. Are you sure your not looking at the BHO tab at the front of the trigger guard?
  6. How much did you pay? I bought a 10 pack for 30 bucks 3 years ago. Steel surplus. I wish I could find those kinda prices again
  7. I have one on my 7.62. It bolts on just like a normal stock. I paid $40 for mine, but that was a year or ago, not sure what current prices would be. It is not comfortable, and there is no cheek weld. I wrapped mine with p cord.
  8. Its a damn firearm not a 67 vette
  9. This is how i went about attaching mine i think its the stock FSB, with the sleeve cut off and barrel threaded. Then i just added some material to the gasblock and shaped it into a bayo lug nothing fancy, but I didnt want the bolt on bayo lug
  10. I just added a big gob of material to the gas block then filed it into a bayonet lug Not the best way to go about it, but it was easy enough
  11. The NC star scope is probably your problem Why put a $50 scope on a $600 plus rifle? I'm not a gear snob by any means, but I wouldn't put an airsoft scope on a real rifle Pony up for a Burris fast fire, eotech, or aimpoint The fast fire can be found for $150 and less if you bargain hunt My eotech is good out to 100 yards. I don't really target shoot for groups though. I have a flip up rear sight if I need to shoot further
  12. I was gonna try and rig something up like this here I figure with that being so low profile, it will easily co-witness with the rear sight However, everything is on hold now, don't wanna spend a ton of coin on a rifle I won't get to shoot for a couple years
  13. A member here was nice enough to provide me with one. It seems people just take them off and toss them in the parts bin to be forgotten after the conversion. I think I bought a used rifle with a DIY "vent job", I think the prior owner was either blind or had parkinsons....probably both...
  14. My romanian folder aint much other than a bent wire attached to a hinge with a buttplate If you are handy with a welder I would give it a try. Making the hinge from scratch would be the hardest part
