  1. Don't know why anyone is knocking the DPMS LR308, I have one and have NEVER had a problem out of it, other than being a "little" on the heavy side, for me anyway. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's got the standard stock that has some type of "checkering" pattern on the butt, it tears my shoulder up, so I had to put a limb saver on it. Also have a CZ 550 bolt action in .308, laminated stock, 20 something " barrel and it will shoot the nuts off a fly at 100 yards, but I'll be damned if I'm going to hump this gun thru the woods for very far, it's heavier than the LR308. Now the
  2. This is weird, I watched the Road Warrior today on cable. I "kinda liked" them all, but in the Road Warrior, I really liked the little kid with long hair that growled at the geek in the gyro copter, and Tina was cool, back then, I would bumped that if I'd had a chance, the problem is, I didn't get the chance, but she'd a loved it. Problem with stuff now a days is that NONE of the "writers" in HollyWierd have any imagination, at least enough to write their own material. I'm just wondering when these dumb asses will do a remake of the Dr. Fibes movies, now those, I saw everyone made and reall
  3. I've got one new in the box that I'll sale for $15,000.00 if you want it, and I'll even pay the shipping charges
  4. Just build a big ass Faraday cage around your house and have a disconnect for the power. I bought the wife one of those little ones for her I-phone, she was talking about it getting "read" when she went into stores. She thought it was BS, until she put her phone in it and I started sending text msg and calling it. Damn thing worked like a charm. A microwave is supposed to also work as one, but you have to cut the cord on it so it's not plugged into the grid. I wish now that I had my OLD diesel truck back, guess it's time to drag the 74 Jeep out of the yard and get it running again, but that
  5. Wheel gun in calber that SHE prefers. Maybe a Rhino, recoil is nothing with 38 shells, and very light in 357. The Rhino's are not a heavy gun, but the grip may take some getting used to.
  6. Look on GB, some jerks are already asking upwards of $3000.00 for them, but still a few at decent prices. I got one S12 that I shoot and 1 still in the box, that I'll let go for $15,000.00
  7. My wife has "family" that lives in LA, a few years ago they came and spent a week at Christmas with us ( Holy Mary Mother of Jesus, HELP ME). They freaked out when they saw me carrying my pistol on my side when I came home from work, they freaked out when I opened one of the safes for them to "go shooting" on the back deck. It seems that they have all been indoctrinated as to that EVERYTHING I have is illegal and should be banned, but the PRICKS did shoot up about 4-500 12 gauge rounds from my S-12, and about 2-300 from my S-410. I could not melt and pour an AR-15 or one of my Vector guns on t
  8. At the shop, I've asked them to hold on for a few minutes that my secretary was on her knees in front of me blowing the head off my dick, most hang up, some have asked me if I was married, and I said, Yes, she's holding my dick for her.....CLICK. Now about all we get is those damn Robo calls, and like Cobra, if I don't recognize the #, I don't answer it anymore. Most now are trying to make their #'s look like a cell phone #.
  9. Maybe Lil Kim has a really good fortune teller, if shit don't change, we just may be living like that in the not so distant future.
  10. Kimber Ultra TLE II, might be out of price range, but you may also find one on sale. I carry one and LOVE IT. Sweet trigger and accurate.
  11. I think this goes for any type of reloading. Single stage has a lot of hand operations which would be bad if you duplicate or skip one. A single light or missed charge in a reloading block can be a barrel obstruction. With the progressive, you can sit in such a way that you can see that the primers are feeding, and see inside the case. All you have to do is watch the primers, and powder and place a bullet. You don't have to think about whether you charged this shell already. Just fully cycle the handle every time, and you can't duplicate or skip a step. I like to use factory ammo boxes for the
  12. NO NO NO, It's where you sprinkle a TINY bit of fairy dust, that way, when it hits your intended target, it's singing a happy song, question answered, next question please. I need to go to bed, 3 hours sleep last night, road trip and job today, my tired ass still hasn't got home yet, but I'll be available for more expert answers on Sunday.
  13. When pigs fly. Ain't no way in hell they will EVER get rid of them, if anything, they'll make them larger, ya know, to keep us even safer. But there again, we can all wish, maybe there really is a Santa Claus.
  14. It WILL go down range, ask me how I know. :0 Have you tried Cobra's on here for threading stuff?
  15. I run the RCBS progressive 2000, I think that's what it is, have 2 MEC presses, 1 for 12 gauge, 1 for 410, and 2 RCBS partner presses for small loads and figuring out stuff before I blow off a hand. What I've found with the progressive is to do it when you aren't all stressed out, no distractions, and get into a rhythm, shell, prime, bullet, at least that's what I do. It's damn good "quite" time for me. I can change calibers and have the powder drop set in about 10 minutes and be going on another caliber. It's nothing to drop 2-300 rounds in an hour, just taking my time. I use the 5th hole
  16. AA, if the gun is sitting on the table, that's your first mistake. Mine gets put in my holster, on my waist when I get up, and does not come off, until I take a shower at night, and then, it's within reach, after that, it's siting on the arm of my recliner. Bed time, it's tucked right beside me, between the water bed mattress and the side board. Oh, did I forget the G19 in the head board, the double barrel 20 gauge beside the head board, and the wife's Judge on her side. It's a fucking SHAME that you have to be like this in your own home, but these damn thugs have more rights than we do, I WOR
  17. My wife has her pistol and AR, I have the combinations to both safes.
  18. Don't just get ammo, but if the $$$$ is there, get reloading components, the hardest I've seen to find around here is powder, at least for what I shoot. Hell, there's magnum powders everywhere, but I don't shoot magnum rifles, maybe magnum powder could be used in regular rifle loads, I don't know, but it'd be better than not having anything. Maybe it could be used with a magnum primer and some testing, but it is slow burning, I think. Even though I have loaded the 5.7 with regular rifle powder, just some redneck math and they worked, was way slower than factory loads, but would still be effec
  19. I went to take a shower and think about it, and I think I've figured it out. When you nail it really hard, the front end wants to raise up, and the gas is running back into the tank, same principle as jacking up the rear end when we wuz kids to get more gas to the carb, Yeh, that's it. But all kiddin aside, I still think it's in the valve train.
  20. Jim, I was going to mention floating a valve/valves, but you said the springs would handle it. Might be worth it to check them and make sure.
  21. Thanks Guys, I loaded some more on Sunday night and made me a "roof" with cut outs for the sun shields. I tried it again on Monday and the loads where running from 890 to 925. Only thing I can figure is that the sun was playing with the chrono. I try to check the powder dump on these about every 10 loads or so, and they are staying from 3.9 to 4.0 gr, so the powder dumps are OK. And for just plinking and playing out back, these will work just fine. Also going to use the G42 to "graduate" the grandkids from the P22 up to some thing a little bigger, as they become more comfortable and exp
  22. Does anyone here load this? Reason I ask is that I got some today at the store and loaded some .380 100gr Berry's RNHB bullets with 4.0gr, set to .960 OAL, and I thought the Chrono was crazy, so I increased to .980 OAL and it got even worse, from 799fps to 1390fps. I though there's no way in hell, got some of the same loads that I had done with AA #5, and they all ran within 35fps of each other. I came in, scratched my ass and head, loaded some 9mm with 5.9gr under Speer 115gr GDHP, ran them thru my 92FS, and they where all within 20fps, top was 1215fps. Could the hollow base on the bulle
  23. But even the Fema website tells everyone to make "preparations" for an emergency, and to have food and water on hand, but for ONLY 3 days. So the guy had a "little" more than he was told to have, what the hell is wrong with that? The Gov IS NOT going to help you. They want everyone to be dependent on the Gov for everything you need, that way, they can tell you how high to jump, when to jump and where to jump, if NOT, you don't get to suck the Gov tit. The CI could just have been trying to cut a deal to save his own ass and lied like hell on this guy, who knows, the Feds won't tell anyone the
  24. I had a "friend" a couple weeks ago talking about how GB has told him that he had to pay them $35.00 just to bid, I told him he was full of shit, that GB didn't do that, he then asked me to buy a rifle he found on there for him. Last thing I said to him was "you've lost your fucking mind, I ain't going to jail for you or nobody else". He seemed to get kinda pissed off and kept telling me that that's what they told him. NOT NO, BUT HELL NO. People have lost their fricking minds and seem to not give a shit what happens to them or anybody else anymore. They just want what they want, and they wan
