  1. If anyone watched the address you saw Steve Staub there and complimented by Trump. Steve owns the company that produced the cover clips and front mag catch insert in the MD-20 drums. He also produced the feedlios on the first run of drums before I had a progressive die made for that part. Trump went to his shop while he was on the trail too back in 2016 also. Steve also went to a meeting at the White House with some other small business owners to discuss manufacturing in America with Trump. It didn’t know he was going to the address tonight and when I saw him I had to resisit the urge to
  2. Guys, let’s not get worked up now. We are just now entering a golden age of tactical/offensive/defensive shotgun evolution/revolution. It is awesome we will get to witness it. Firearm evolution has been fairly stagnant for awhile now so this should be exciting and happy times for all of us. Let’s look to the future together. I do deserve blame and shame for not getting it out for the Saiga-12. Everything from internal issues to multiple import scares and multiple political scares stopped me over and over. I do wish I knew then what I know now because the double stacks for the Saiga-1
  3. I can only say so much about the deal. I need to make sure I don’t say too much. I’m under contract. I’ll figure out what I can and can’t say and give more details.
  4. It’s because they have a patent on the switchable tower for one. Another is the tower area has all the double stack patent tech in it. Basically it is the double stack. If someone makes them they are actually infringing on two different patents.
  5. They load surprisingly well on a closed bolt. Less bolt interference. That will also reduce the chance for shell deformation of the top round on a closed bolt. Haven’t tested that myself yet. The reason they wouldn’t want people making them for different guns is they want to sell their own gun and mags for it and not mags for someone else’s gun is my guess. It’s not like the drum to Saiga comparison. Someone making double stack towers for a different gun could make their gun less popular. Only speculating though. This is just the beginning though. It may take a few years but
  6. I know. I am really sorry. Maybe things will change. I’m afraid I would have to charge too much to make the saturated and stagnate Saiga-12 market worth producing the tools.
  7. I’m off!!! Planes pulling out now. Taking off for Vegas to witness the market reaction first hand at Shot Show! Wish me luck!!!
  8. I wish they would go to the Saiga-12 and other too. They can only produce them for the Mossberg name though and they have a exclusive for their name. Also if someone else made a tower for a different gun it would be infringement and those with the license has a right to defend the patent. It wouldn’t be wise for someone to try. Give it time though. The flood gates are just now bursting... Mossberg put a video out. I wish they would have done more shooting in it.
  9. Yeah, the 870 DM is obsolete before it ever started shipping. I actually feel bad for them. Check out this article! http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2018/01/22/mossberg-double-stack-590m/ Sadly they aren’t Saiga-12 comparable.
  10. Thanks, GunFun! I definitely don’t want to sell anything that’s junk. People work too hard for their money to have it scammed out of them. I have zero respect for people or companies that are ok with doing that to others. I’ve also have a hard time with the business strategy of not speaking out about such things if it’s your competition or someone in the same industry. That’s a flawed stratagy. If the competition or peer doesn’t like the fact then change the fact... All I know is if I see junk I will call it junk, lol. I trust that the majority of the customer base is tired of junk jus
  11. 45° is WAY too much!! Holy crap! It’s no damn wonder... That puts you on the knife edge of pressure prying the rear away from the chamber instead of toward the chamber. Way too many variables that could throw it the wrong direction and bind.
  12. It’s just a matter of time for detachable magfed shotguns to becoming the norm and carve a huge and likely a majority chunk out of the shotgun market. It’s just a matter of time for double stack mags to be widely available. I also have a patent pending on a new magazine design that will further change everything to add some tickle to the tease for Johnny! Sadly though neither look likely for my favorite shotgun, the Saiga-12. Who knows what new and exciting shotgun designs will come though. Maybe a new favorite will appear. It would be awesome to design a good one. I think I would go st
  13. I know I didn’t appreciate him telling people I wanted him to finish development of the double stack. It didn’t need that, it needed a host gun. At the time I contacted them I didn’t realize their guns were so troubled. He even referenced my double stack patent in his patent as a potential magazine for the design. When I contacted him he said he wasn’t interested in the design. I’m guessing by that time sales had bottomed out over the bad gun design. But as far as his patent goes I’m sure it provides exactly zero protection from anything. Had he used a patent attorney that also underst
  14. Yeah, I even offered to go to Florida for a few days to sit down with their engineers to go over everything. I can’t wrap my mind around not even being willing to take a look. I know of a guy that did tree work for a living. He wanted a drum magazine for his shotgun really bad. He tried to talk a few different companies into making one. He even told them he would help with the design of the drum and that he just wanted the opportunity to buy some. Crickets from most. One company that had recently put out a aftermarket stick mag said they would do it. After a short bit they said they c
  15. It is true. We have no plans to manufacture anymore MD-20 drums. We just sold our remaining stock. That stock came from the last run of drum made just after SandyHook. The market never recovered before the santctions were placed in 2014. The KS-12 has potential but an exact clone of the Russian design was a big mistake on their part. The gas system of the Saiga-12 is severely flawed, just not as much as the Vepr and 433... It’s sad really because the KS-12 could have address all that out of the gate. Maybe they lacked the understanding of the system to improve it I thought. So I
  16. Lol! I can vouch for how cold it has been in Ohio. Can’t complain though because it has been very mild up until now. Usually it sounds like a war zone at midnight on New Year’s but I only heard 3 people shooting last night, lol.
  17. I have hear that Black Ace has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Remington over the 870 DM. Not sure if it’s true but it came from a reliable source deep in the industry. I have read Black Ace’s patent and I hate to say it but it’s not a very strong patent at all. The patent is for a receiver to replace the receiver on an existing firearm using the factory parts. See what I mean? By the letter of the law the receiver IS the firearm. Replace that and you have a totally new firearm. Hopefully Black Ace doesn’t go wasting a bunch of money trying to fight it because there is just
  18. I bet it doesn’t take 5 years for all the majors to have a detachable mag fed! It fact I predict it isn’t long before the most of them have them with double stacks! Also just announcing first doesn’t make Remington first. The best I can tell Remington hasn’t shipped any to distributors yet. If so please point me to them so I can get a sample. I can’t beleive Remington went with a magwell and a screwed on one at that... That mag release in the front is rather odd. Seems brush and such would run down the underside right to it. And 3 and 6 rd mags??? Maybe someone should have told Remin
  19. I think a steel magazine would be awesome actually. I'll PM you shortly. Not much wrong with hand transfer. Progressive is pretty awesome though! More expense and complication though... I do have cad drawings from Solidworks. It has a sheet metal program in it but honestly I don't know how to use Solidworks myself.
  20. A response and update is long over due and I apologize for that. A number of reasons have prevented the production of the double stacks over the years. From fears of import studies by Obama's ATF, RAA losing their import contract, internal issues and a whole list of other reasons leading up to the eventual supply cutoff by the sanctions on Russia in what was an already saturated market that was still trying to recover from the Sandyhook run. The reason they haven't been released has NEVER been reliability issues. From the time I said to myself I would make one to the time I was test

We definitely plan to do a Vepr mag. I've been playing with the follower design already. Also a magwell made for doubke stack mags woul still accept all other mags. The front to back dimension is the critical one and not the side to side. The side is mostly determined by the shelf on the mags that meet the bottom of the receiver like on non magwell guns. On the side to side area of a widened magwell there will still be a little single stack width area in the rear of it as well though. Speaking of vepr drums... We have another patent in the works... Nice and tight and super capacity.

    Double Stack Pics

A 9rd double would be right at .100" shorter than a single 5. A 10 rd double would be right at .300 longer. They are ultra reliable! You can believe that! These will absolutely dominate in ever aspect, even price...

The 22rd would be just over a pound I think it was vs a 2 pound md-20 or 2 pound 6 ounce (roughly) promag drum. Any capacity we release will be able to feed any mix of 2 3/4 and 3" ammo. With the material we use they will be stronger than any other polymers mag and rebound from rougher abuse than metal mags. They will also have metal in the front lug.
