Grandma Mosins steambath

Damn, sadly I've never heard of this. I may have to try this out on my 91/30. I cleaned the crap out of it but there is a hint of the mosin slap going on about 10 rounds in. Thanks for the great info! -
Was thinking the exact same thing! Where are you putting these extra mags? Tac vest? Pockets? Not a big fan of my maneuverability being reduced because of the size of our giant mags that don't seem to fit anywhere nice n' snug. I have yet to find a Tac vest I like that fits well with Saiga 12 round mags I guess a double stack would be appropriate and would be pretty sweet. All I am saying is that you can never have TOO MUCH ammo, no such thing in my book.

Damn, thought I was on to something. That's sweet though. Thanks for the link! Now to find a 6+ shell holder.
-
Sounds like a pretty sweet project for me to undertake. I was just curious if anyone knew if there was such a thing. If not maybe I will try my hand at it.....
-
I noticed that I have a spare Picatinny/Weaver rail on my UTG side scope mount and an idea jumped in my head that I would like to slide some spare shells on it. You see all these sweet shell holders for pump actions or even a few here and there for stocks but I was wondering if anyone knew if a PIctanny/Weaver Shell holder. I have enough room with the tiny ass red dot that I have to slide one on and have a place to hold a few more shells. Am I just being crazy here?

I have to start a new account for MD to order but can't due to the same error that everyone else is getting. Would love to pick up another drum and a grip...
-
Exactly what I wanted to hear, thanks!
-
Figured I would throw my small collection that I just started a month ago out there for the fun of it. Some of you have some bad ass looking rigs though, props to everyone.
-
Flechette shells' actual performance often leaves a lot to be desired. Half the time the darts don't stabilize and won't hit the target point-on. You'd be much better served by buck and ball or strung-buck shells. Bah, that is sad to hear. Such a cool idea too. Kinda like the idea in the new Resident Evil movie as well. 12 gauge loads with quarters, boy would that be a mess.

Just dropped 90 bucks on a 20 rounder..... Damn you MD arms for tempting me and my wallet XD
-
Personally if shit hits the fan and I have a choice in ammunition. I will be picking up every flechette shotshell I can get my hands on. By far the coolest idea for a shotshell load I have read thus far. http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/product_info.php/pName/9rds-12-gauge-flechette-ammo/cName/12-gauge-specialty-ammo

A couple centimeters? I hope you meant to say millimeters. Knock it off and throw it back in there. BTW that weapon can run that crappy ass ammo, but it takes work. I made mine like it Welcome aboard.... I have a buddy that rocks like that before he shoots. You are the only other person I have seen do that. Looks like you were having fun. Centimeters would be worrisome... lol. Yes I meant millimeters, apologies. I'm cool with it as long as it is normal. Shooting my S12 is a blast, buddy that is actually recording has a saiga 308 which is also great fun as well.

I did have a general question though pertaining to the gas puck after usage. The last time I went out and fired off some slugs/hi brass I ended up accumulating a lot of lead (maybe powder) on the puck itself. Maybe a couple centimeters thick just caked onto the puck itself. Is this normal with saiga 12s or could I be looking at a new puck in the near future?

Glad someone caught on to that

Well played sir. That cracked me up.
