  1. you are correct, sir! all the stuff that comes out of central europe or russia(but not really) that is good performance, reloadable, brass cased, etc., is made by either prvi or s#b.
  2. Aboluby! remember, this is an ak, not a match chamber, delicate wall flower, it will handle all your round preferences
  3. hmm... mine doesn't seem to groove out my casings.
  4. you should be able to get saigas in all 3 cals for the price of one good ar, most saigas that are unconverted are between 250 and 300 if you look around.
  5. I would start out with a good 22, for the money cz can't be beat. Also make sure that you are with your parents, and that they buy it, and that you use it only under their supervision. I would not like to see ANYONE here at this site, get in trouble , you or anyone else, for being underage , and buying a gun. Also you may want to check your states law's , or heck, if you have a walmart or gunstore in your area , the people there can probably tell you how old you must be in your state, to own a rifle. Now 22 rifles are a little different, since they are looked upon as sporting, plinking ty
  6. off topic here... do you make or sell the high cap mags for the 410? if so , how much are they?
  7. this guy is making about 30 bucks off of shipping?
  8. no. it is not fine enough, in several aspects to be a target type rifle. Just fro one thing, the trigger is definitely a mil type trigger, that you usually need a jackhammer to get the thing going initially. As far as a first second or many of , rifles, sure go ahead and get one.
  9. i am still trying to find out what 223 mags are still available.
  10. for the 223 and 39's, i like the E. german(i think) mags , that are steel with the big rib down the back. they are inexpensive, and very easy to convert. also the 223's will take the orange mags, and the waffle bulgies, but you may need to change out the followers to Robarms 556 followers. or get some jb weld , and reshape the followers a bit. on the 308, there are some saiga high caps out there that got in, but be prepaired to pay big bucks. otherwise , the only thing you can do right now with the saiga 308 mags, is cut about 1/3 of the bottom of the follower off, remove the bottom verti
  11. i like the e. german mags, to me , they are the easiest to convert. A little dremel on the front and back, a screw down through the front catch, and waa laa! your done.
  12. i got mine from this guy, great price, two mags, very good service. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?item=44604284
  13. wow, i'm a math geek so i never new that muzzle brakes could be so interesting. why is the max eff range for a brake to be in the range described above? if the bigger one is less effective, why wouldn't the smaller one be more effective?
  14. my saigas in 223 and 76239 have slfps. and typically , i think the russia and european stuff is more acc, has to do with bore size, bullet diameter, as opposed to american bullet diameter for this round.
  15. is the 50 rounder still available? you did say that it will work in an unconverted saiga, right?
  16. when i shoot my cz, i time the shots at one minute apart, to give everyone an equal chance, bbl cooling, etc. So im firing that stuff, and suddenly, i go to chamber the next round and im about .25 in short of closing the bolt! I though i had broken someting insdie my bolt or chamber, i thoroughly inspected the chamber, kept trying to chamber new rounds, etc. No avail. i kept looking in the bbl and chamber area and could not see nothing. I though i was screwed. I had a solid clean rod in my car, so i went an got it, and on a whim , i stuck it throuhg the muzzle end. Whap! it caught on som
  17. gunhustler, you sure you need all those extra mags in the background there? 'cuz i could take some.
  18. I have had two in 223. about 1.5 years apart. both 16 in bbls. i have heard that the 16 in. bbls are more acc than the longer bbls, this i do not know, they say it is because of less whiplash. I know that for instance, with the one i have right now, i shoot 2 in. shoot and see targets, open sites at 100 yards, and i will hit them 3 times out of a 5 shot group, or more. i would also say that my other one in the past was this accurate , also. but that doesn't mean the next one you pick up out of the store wouldn't hit the side of a barn, but as long as they are making their bbls the same w
  19. dont wanna dampen your zeal, but i have found the E. german mags easier to change than the bulgies.
  20. well this is a very subjective topic, but i would say if you do a simple trajectory, b.c. and s.d. comparison, you would have to say that no, it is not an accurate round. but that does not mean it can not be a pretty accurate round out to 200 yds, with a very good rifle, or a rifle with a very good bbl. I have a cz 527 am carbine with the short 16 in bbl. it shoots sub moa with some of the crappiest rounds out there. I also have a short bbl saiga, that i shoot open sites at 100 yards, shooting at 2 inch shoot n see targets. I do hit them , not every time, but that tells me that with open si
  21. ther is a guy i think goes for gunsforfun somewhere on this site, who sells them with two mags for 250, i think . I got a 762.39 frm him for that, still may have his email.
  22. do those mags by chance fit a unconverted saiga in 223, or can they be converted?
