  1. Well after about 100 rounds through my bulgy AK-74 brake there are still no hit marks at all! maybe some brakes are smaller hole then others or they dont sit dead center.
  2. I have both and i say eather one is good for a GO TO GUN! remember they are both AKs! even the ugly lower class AKs are good to go!
  3. Outstanding! and it looks like it was a lot easyer and cheaper then the route that i took, well done.
  4. thats ok i could use a little fire under my AK anyway!
  5. Believe me i can't wait to try it out,but the SGL range by me is closed for renovations (even though it's only a year old ) but the sign said it will reopen OCT.1, I will be there that weekend because i need to sight in my .308 bolt savage anyway.
  6. This is what i want to get for my X39 saiga,by the time you buy a cheap scope, some type of scope mount and rings you could have paid for a soviet military type scope like one of these! And did i mention it's cool communist military stuff too? http://www.kalinkaop...ak-version.html

  8. Yes, there is a picture included with the retainer showing the approximate size and location of the notch that should be ground into the barrel. Standard AKs with the two piece handguards all have it. The notch is on the top of the barrel facing perpendicular towards it, and the #10-32 bolt that comes with the retainer, or the standard cam on an original retainer, clicks into that notch to prevent the handguard from sliding forward or along the axis of the barrel during firing. You could make the notch at the top with a dremel, but I'd recommend using a small round file instead. This way
  9. Thats what im talking about baylorhenrey! glad to hear that,i just bought that AK74 stuff for my X39...........thanks hey man, I did check over and over again that the brake wasn't being hit or slapped anyhow though, so remember to give it some play on drilling it out! good luck man, it worked for me, hope it will for you OK here is what i found last night! one of my 7.62X 51 nato rounds bullit measured .308,a wolf 7.62x39 measured .308,a 7.62x54R russian surplus measured .310 so thats the one i used, it was way loose in the bulgarian brake, even the 54R neck was way loose in
  10. well my 20" saiga is finally done, here it is! before and after.
  11. well the saiga conversion is finally done! I think it looks good, what do you guys think?

  13. You foot the bill and I'm all over it... Don't get me wrong i like the look of my 16" barrel WASR more then the 20" barrel saiga, but i don't think im going to cut it down i would just sell it and buy another WASR.................come on it's kinda like a welfare RPK!
