I've recently converted my Saiga. and refinished the shotgun with Aluma-Hyde II - the results were great. However, I took it out shooting yesterday, put 225+ rounds through it. Unfortunately, the paint on the barrel scraped/bubbled off in a few places. I think the barrel got hot enough to soften the Aluma-Hyde II and when I placed the shotgun down on the bench at the range, the barrel rubbed on the bench just enough to scrape off the Aluma-Hyde II.
