  1. What if I file away material on the bottom section near where to hex bolt attaches it to the gas block? That would in theory raise up the front of the rail and level it out?
  2. Yes, I have total clearance underneath all the way down.
  3. I have mine all installed. No issues with installation, but I do notice that my top "monolithic" rail is not level. It is higher right in the middle at the hinge. The front sight is gone and I have no clearance issues underneath whatsoever. Is it a big deal? Any suggestions?
  4. Just be careful fellow NY'er. We are not allowed to convert our Saiga 12's like most of the folks on here. NO PISTOL GRIPS are allowed on semi-auto, detachable box magazine fed shotguns in NY. We can only use normal stocks, thumb-hole stocks or "dragunov" style stocks. Mine: (TOP)
  5. Post pics as soon as its installed!
  6. SAIGA 12: Because they don't make a Saiga 13!
  7. Too bad, I would really like this type of stock for one of my S-12's. Maybe someone else will make one and actually sell it?
  8. For what it is worth, I used that exact stock for a while on an AR, and I really liked it. I have used the VLTOR and Magpul stocks and really can't say that they were all that much better. Nicer looking yes, but ergonomically I really liked the CAA stock, and the option of the adjustable cheek plate add on is really nice!
  9. Yessir, I actually live in Liverpool myself.

  10. Hey. You're from Syracuse, too?

    I'm in the Solvay area.

  11. California! Bah! But New York ain't much better! I hate it here!
  12. Wow. I really wanted to hate the UTG as I run Daniel Defense and Troy or Midwest Industries on all of my weapons....but.....I love it! With the Russian Dragunov style Saiga 12 stock I can either fold the cheekplate down and use irons no problem, or flip it up and use my optic with perfect alignment. I enjoy all the rail options and I can't complain about the looks. I can't see how anyone can have any problems using the UTG...and this is coming from a rifle snob
  13. The pad on the top of the stock can flip "up" like in the picture to properly align the shooters eye when an optic (like my 2x red dot) is used, and flipped clockwise to the "down" position to properly align the shooter's eye to the rifle sights on the gun. This stock with the UTG quad rail works absolutely perfect with both irons or an optic. Total clearance underneath the rail which allows a 100% unblocked view of both rear and front sight alignment!
