  1. Yea good call I believe you have the answers already, threaded nut for inside the bottom of receiver and the stock handguard spring that sticks out the end of the handguard on some of the older Saigas to keep tension on it. My 1993 B-WEST had that style but the 2003 did not just a piece of plastic on the handguard in it's place.
  2. I have a Vortex Sparc on my 762x39 and I like it a lot. It comes with 2x magnifier, various height mount blocks, is NV compatible and fairly small. It holds zero like a champ so far and is definitely bright enough for daylight and full sun. All for like $200 or just under.
  3. Yea Sam's Club has the above mentioned Costco lights or some very similar as well don't quote me but 2-300 lumens and come in a 2or 3 pack for like $20. Not bad..... not a surefire, but they'll do the job and for a lot less w/a spare or two!
  4. I like the Tapco actually, lightweight and no mods necessary to make them work correctly and rails to add lights and lasers or whatever if that's what you wish even though I haven't even mounted the rails on mine and kind of like it that way.
  5. Yea just cut the shroud back it's the hardest part, with a tubing cutter cleaner cut w/no barrel nicks. You may need a few cutter blades go slowly on tightening the cutter handle otherwise you'll break the blades very quickly. Then measure or just eye your thread depth on whatever brake you're installing and thread away to that depth, stopping so that your brake is clocked correctly. You'll need die, tat, and handle for the job.
  6. Just cut mine yesterday wasn't bad at all, drilled five holes, one on each corner and a center one and used my dremel file bit to grind the remainder away.
  7. More than likely the end of your hammer spring getting caught where it's not supposed to, you have to bend the right side ear out towards the side of the receiver so it sets where it's supposed to. Other thing you can check is the pistol grip corner possibly making contact with your trigger, but mine was the spring.
  8. Hey got stuck at work and didn't get the check sent today will send it out tomorrow for sure sorry man.

    Thanks,

    Tye

  9. Hey you never answered my PM's? Not sure if your out of town for the weekend or what, but I'd prefer Paypal as it at least gives me some protection. Otherwise I need all your info. so payment can be sent?
  10. Would love to get me a S12..........

  11. Yea I used the hogue grip as well on mine and figured out the same, the nut just needs to be ground down a little and it works perfectly. Dremel, file, bench grinder and some vise grips any or all will do the job! Good Luck and get it done already
  12. Hey do you have a Paypal account so you can receive money? If not set one up or give me all your info so I can send payment.

  13. Of course... thanks for the reply.
