  1. I've resigned mine to shooting 3" shells, very rare to have an eject problem with them. I buy it by the case [3" ammo] when Sportsman Guide puts it on sale.
  2. I'm resigned to run 3" shells for reliability [i've never had a single problem wit any of them]. I have a re-loader set up just for doing the 3" shells, but have not reloaded any yet. 2 3/4 are different story. I reload 2 3/4 shells to 1 oz, 1200 fps, and only get 50% to eject properly. By my best estimation I only have run aprox 100 rounds through the 20 so far and I hold hope after same exercise it will run 2 3/4 shells someday.
  3. I had the Saiga 20 out today to see if it would pattern well enough for a turkey hunt. The 3" shells [Remington #6] ran flawlessly. 2 3/4 reloads, not so good. I ordered 2 of the 8 rounders with the plan of some 3 gun fun. I managed to special order 6 boxes of some 3" shells and plan on reloading, I have a MEC 600 Jr that I have set up just for doing 3 inch. I'll post reload results after I can confirm reliability.
  4. Bravo 26 transaction went as good as could ever be expected. Bought a bolt hold open lever and spring and I am nothing but pleased.
  5. Andrei [Rueseller] will take the longest, but his stuff is the best genuine you will find. Be patient, it may take a while from Andrei, but it will be worth it.
  6. I bought one off of GunBroker, a RPK version. At first it had feed problems, but I got those cured by "trimming" some plastic from inside the magazines. It shoots much better, still has a few problems ejecting. Empties end up rattling arround everywhere inside the rifle. In spite of it all it is a very cool addition to my collection.
  7. Thanks for the link, I've PM'd the sell that I would take one.
  8. I would like one. PM sent also. I would like one. PM sent also.
  9. Now I'm feeling bad. This is the only time that I have posted with a bad attitude concerning Andrei and my merchandise. No sooner had I posted this, I get an e-mail from him asking if I had received my hardware. Well no, I responded. Andrei stated Item was sent, would be willing to send another. Today, 2/14, package arrives from Russia! Yes, it is my hardware. Appears package was opened and contents inspected. All items were present and none missing. The hardware is NEW. So, if you do order from Rueseller, Anyarts, be aware that it will take a long time, but you will get your stuff.
  10. I'm up in the Traverse City area, but I did a few years in Flushing, worked in Flint and Saginaw. I was born up north so I got my a** back up here about 20 years ago. It's nice living here, 10 minute drive to shoot, hunt, and just enjoy the outdoors. I'll sniff around to see if I can find a hold open for one of the models listed. Perhaps Andrei in Russia could scare one up. I got a side folding stock set from him, took a long time, but he came through.
  11. I have been an avid AK collector for quite some time and have added a Saiga 20 to the collection. I stumbled on to it at a local Michigan gun show, from an individual for $180.00. I suspect he offed it on account of feed problems. [surprise, surprise] as it looked as though it only had maybe 2 boxes of shells through it. I have been feeding it properly with my own high power reloads, and after approx 100 rounds, fail to ejects are down to 1 every 20 on 2 3/4s. Factory 3" have never been a problem. Now to the topic of my post. Can a bolt hold open be retro fitted to this shotgun? I have
  12. Gosh, I'm not the only one waiting for stock hardware? I ordered and paid for mine 8/3/05. Got the but stock in November. I'll be happy if I get it within a year. I've been tempted to order something he has listed on Gunbroker and then refusing to pay. Would give and opportunity to give feedback. I have 36 emails saved as documentation of my story.
