Hey guys. I recently purchased my first S12 about a month+ ago and have since done minor changes to it, mostly external. For example the furniture, a barrel shroud and at least for functions sake a Tac 47 Auto Plug. But I'm curious whether any of you have suggestions for an unconverted S12 (unfortunately I live in Mass.) by way of internal parts. Are there parts you would without a doubt change right off regardless of whether it was converted or not? Or is it just fine with the stock parts and I shouldn't bother? I'm open to whatever you think and as all of you guys do, aim to have a more than

I heard about this mag just a couple days ago, so I just bought a couple to compare against a ProMag(which I heard sucks), a Surefire, and the stock Izhmash. Hopefully these work well. $11.95?! Can't beat that price.

Thanks for the reply guys. I've checked thoroughly and I am indeed restricted to 5 rd mags for a semi auto shotty here in this communist state. You got it, Massachusetts. I've heard great things about "surefire" so I'm sold now! I just hope my promags do Ok so i don't feel like I wasted 40 bucks. /sigh

Happy Friday all. I'm restricted to 5 round mags in my state and because of it, don't have an abundance of choice. Of course I have the factory mag that comes with the S12, but I have also purchased a couple ProMags and am now looking at SGMT's. I looked around on the forums for any reference on these but came up empty. Is anyone familiar with this brand? I want to try and get some feed back before I plunk down some cash. Thanks. SGMT's

I just got a reply back from Rhineland Arms and the guy said that the handguard definately won't fit a 12ga and wasn't sure if the stock would work. Guess he hasn't tried. He did mention that he wants to make sets for the S12, but wont begin production to early next year. Sounds like it's in the works. Guess I'll be waiting. In the meantime I'll just go with the RAA stock, it'll serve for now. Hey Jager, so you have this then ?: I plan on painting it OD Green, but what's the condition like and how much friend?

What exactly constitutes a conversion? Is it from "sporting" config to "non-sporting"? I'm a bit confused. I don't forsee moving/changing my fcg, changing my trigger guard or adding a pistol grip since I live in the Sheeples Republik of Mass. I am however changing my stock to a thumbhole and from what I've read so far that still retains the sporting status of the firearm. I just replaced the handguard and plan on changing small parts like the puck, gas plug and maybe the recoil spring to a Tromix Full Power. I'm asking because I wanna play it safe and don't want to stumble into the realm of 92

Whoah! Hey now, I'm really liking these. What kind of finish do they have, glossy, matte? Not that it really matters, but just trying to get an idea. How do the handguards fare with heat dispersion? These are nice indeed and thanks for the link!

I've been perusing these boards heavily now for the last few days and have surmised from what I've read that pistol grips ar a huge no-no in this POS state. So my only option is a thumbhole stock, but this seems to be my only option: Are there any other thumbhole stocks available for the S12? I've been looking and looking and have yet to come across a different style. If anyone has suggestions please post a link. Thanks and my search continues.

I'm in the same boat as any person living in the "Peoples Republik of Mass", but you know what's even worse? Being able to stand in your front yard and having the ability to throw a stone far enough that in lands in NH. Now that really sucks!
