  1. I'm one of those that's lost when it comes to OBD etc. Sure, I can weld/port/pull 21-22lbs of boost but dang if I know the electronics to support it much less manage it.
  2. I look at how the younger generation isn't learning anything useful. They can't change a tire much less their own oil or forbid a timing chain. The extent of their knowledge is keep gas in it and where the key goes. What does this say for the parts houses that rely on commercial accounts, shadetrees and DIY's, and the random wannabes? If half the customer base disappears in the next 10 years, will the partshouses be prepared? Will their customer base shift exclusively to commercial accts? t
  3. 8-10rd mags would be fine with me. t
  4. Haven't shot it yet, but I went with the Kushnapup platform. I'm 5'6"-160lbs, with 5rd mags it fits my bodyframe great. t
  5. Nobody knows. Its cross posted on several forums asking for any advise. The barrel is very distinctive of a super vepr but the rear sight base looks like a saiga .308 with the 300 meter leaf. The gas block is something I have never seen before. Barrel looks like Super Vepr only longer. Still hopin' to run across somebody that knows the origin. t
  6. pics of boat aren't loading. She does come with a truck and a boat, right?

Probably not, but you asked (in the OP) about welding the holes in the rec'r, I definitely suggest using a MIG for that. For TIG work, might pay in the long run to get to know as many welders as you can. Sooner or later maybe they'll rub off on ya and you can do your own stuff. t
  8. No, due to the buttstock used I left the FCG as is. The headspace "looks" dead-on when viewing the internals, I have a NO-GO gauge but that's it. I have other pics of the barrel assy before I installed it but can't edit the OP so might start a fresh thread, really don't know at the moment. t

Just be careful cause your probably not going to be happy with a muffler shops weld on that rear plate! If it was me workin' at the muffler shop, you'd be thrilled.
  10. That, under the eyes of the ATF, Yeoldetool is correct... Yeoldetool: "That means it's got to have a stock or it's NOT a shotgun." ...and so Yeoldetool doesn't need to "tell Mossberg" anything. t
  11. Still hoping to find someone who knows the origin or, even better, the machinist of this setup. t
  12. A pistol-gripped shotgun might be called a pistol-gripped shotgun by you and me, but not by ATF. It's called "other" on a 4473. t
