  1. I thought about doing that but the wood only covers half the hole.
  2. Yes I have, didn't seem to change anything. A question worth asking.
  3. I posted this elsewhere here, but I'll post it here as well in case anyone missed it. And finally, a video. I love it so far. My only problem is that the handguard is a little loose. I'm going to see if I can't find a way to get it a little more snug. Any suggestions?
  4. Nothing too exciting. Just a first time test firing of the conversion. Sorry about the lack of light and overall crappy quality. It's winter in NY, what do you want from me?
  5. I don't hate to break this to ya... But, that IS birch. Heh, the wood is "birch," it's just not "Birch" is what I meant.
  6. Thanks! It's only shiny because I put four coats of tung oil and didn't rough it up afterward. Already finished stocks probably aren't that shiny.
  7. It's still processing as of right now, but it should work soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PKcohcrx8c
  8. Nope. Not birch. I got the unfinished set and finished with a reddish stain. I wanted it red, but not as red as you commonly see out there. It's actually redder than it appears in these pictures, but not by much. I have a video forthcoming as well.
  9. I don't even own a file. What kind should I get for this mod? Is there any sort of "grit rating" that I should get?
  10. Throwing mine out there. Has a Timbersmith stock.
  11. I'm missing a screw? Awww, how did that happen? Yeesh. Figures. Guess I'll dig around for a replacement. Hope I don't get the wrong size.
