Thanks! It's only shiny because I put four coats of tung oil and didn't rough it up afterward. Already finished stocks probably aren't that shiny.

Nope. Not birch. I got the unfinished set and finished with a reddish stain. I wanted it red, but not as red as you commonly see out there. It's actually redder than it appears in these pictures, but not by much. I have a video forthcoming as well.

I don't even own a file. What kind should I get for this mod? Is there any sort of "grit rating" that I should get?
