Is that welded onto something (the rear trunnion maybe)? How does that attach to the stock? I'm thinking that must have some functional purpose. I'd prefer to leave mine on and use the CNC adapter.

Yes, nothing against the Bulgarian ones, but since it is starting as a Russian gun, I'd prefer all Russian. What do I need to do to do that? Some things may seem obvious to some people, but I'm learning, so I have to ask for detailed help.

I do not know much about the SLR-105s. What makes them the best shooting AKs? How do they compare with the Arsenal SGL31-61? What are the differences between those and a standard Saiga 5.45? I'm more interested in differences that are functional, like sights, stocks, etc. Cosmetic stuff which is not functional I do not really care about.

Jim Fuller takes Saiga 308 and accurizes them. If he can do it, it can be done. There have to be simple things that will tighten things up. I'm not looking for bolt action accuracy, just to improve things.

I understand Saigas are capable of good accuracy, and I am wondering, is there anything one can do during the conversion process to the sights, barrel, etc. to maximize the accuracy of a Saiga rifle?

Where are you looking because I haven't seen those prices since a little more than a week ago? Check gunbroker now. Not a single posting near that price. Some are selling them 700 + now. I suppose I could be nuts, but these haven't been banned yet, and anyone who pays $700 to $900 is, IMHO, taking a chance. What happens when the next batch comes in?
