  1. I have no problem shooting my Mossberg 500 12ga from the hip with any load. I have a hand made birdshead grip that does the trick. I've shot one with the hogue pistol grip also that was very comfortable, although after a box of slugs with the pistol grip I could feel fatigue in my wrist. GL with your build, and post pics!!!
  2. I added you as a friend fellow Virginian! Do you go to the dixie gun & knife show(the c&e one)?

    Virginia??

Where at in Glen Allen? I wasn't aware that there was a range there!
  4. I just ran across this thread while searching on Google.. Is this the same mag pouch? mag pouch customization..
  5. Hey guys, I've been looking around for some mag pouches for the 25rnds for the S308 with a hook & loop cover and MOLLE attachments for my battle bag, and grommets on the bottom for drainage if possible. I'm just curious as to what some of you guys have been using, and any reviews you can provide on those rigs. Oh I want it in the Army digi camo also. This is something similar to what I'm looking for.. Mag Pouch Thanks guys! MODS - Sorry if this is in the wrong section!

    Virginia??

I've heard that's a nice range, but it's a pretty good drive for me. There is a range near the Richmond International Airport. It's $70 a year, and you must be an NRA member. The only downfall is that you can only practice during the week.
  7. You're supposed to drill a new hole in the front for that trigger guard... +1 How'd the slot work out for you?
  8. Isn't there another poll thread just like this one?
  9. Keep the bolt action, and save up for the SHTF S308! I agree that the stock S308 isn't trade worthy of the Remmy. Keep your eye out on the board, and you can find a good deal on a used S308! What would you sell the Remmy for? You can PM me if you'd like to keep it private!
  10. It seems fine, but has a bit too much wiggle from side to side in the pull adjustment for my taste. I wouldn't recommend it for that fact, but if you are strapped for money and can't really justify spending more money on a higher quality one.. then go for it. I plan on threading a thumb screw into the side to eliminate the movement. When I get around to it, I'll post some pics. There are pics of it on my S308 in the tac'd picture thread (although it's a crappy cell phone pic).
  11. I used a grinder. The 1st weld was easy to drill out for some reason, but the second weld wasn't having it! Grind it until you can pry the plate up to break it off, I then used a precision hand file to slowly file off the remaining weld flush to the receiver. Good luck!
  12. I found it hilarious as to the zombies enjoying the intestines too much. ...nazi zombie was in the toilet when the girl went to drop one in the out house.. that's just awesome. I'll have to look into that book. Who was the author?
  13. B--E--A--UTIFUL!!! Sir, you inspire me.. thank you.
  14. I have always been told that also.. I keep the HK mag fully loaded at all times in the pistol by the bed. The only time the HP come out is when I'm out practicing, in which I'm shooting FMJ. I havn't noticed any spring difference between that one, and the other two mags that have more reloads on them. I'd estimate around 1400 rounds through the mags combined, but the one that stays loaded with HP has had significantly less reloads (They are 9 rnd mags so that would be equivalent to about 51+ actual load & reloads per mag). On a side note I do have 18 rnds in a 25 rnd mag for the S3
