  1. Classic Arms has Wolf .223 for $160/case of 1000. Not a bad price, whats their shipping like?
  2. I just got mine in yesterday. +1 on: -Get the Kit -It'll still work if its a tad off center
  3. Off Topic: 1liter, your avatar is a 2019x681 , 400KB picture constrained down to 180 to 135 (which also makes it out of aspect ratio and is why your rifle looks 'fat'). The board software is supposed to catch things like that when you upload it, but for some reason it didn't. Here's a version resized to the board limits so everybody doesn't have to download nearly half a meg for your posts.
  4. I just ordered 400 rounds from cheaperthandirt, shipping was $12. Shipping for 200 rounds was $10, so their shipping costs aren't directly proportional to the number of boxes you buy.
  5. Mine are also hollow, but they're more sturdy than you'd think they'd be. One reason mine looks like that is that I made a mess with the JB weld.
  6. I'm either using much bigger tacks or have the tack mounted further back in the mag than Deadeye. The tips of the bullets were contacting the underside of the tack when feeding up from the mag. This is the cut. Notice that its only cut directly under where the bullets are feeding up. Tried just cutting the tack off flat against the front of the lip, but then it didn't have enough ramp to feed the rounds. The next mag converted I put the tack farther towards the front of the mag through the front catch where the drill bit came out just in front of the mag body. I didn't have to cut
  7. I rigged up a couple of mags using this method. They're 100% cycling by hand and light live firing. I'll give them a more thorough test when I can find a source for cheap bulk .223. I had a problem with the tip of bullets feeding up from the magazine hitting the bottom of the tack however. A quick V-shaped cut with a dremel fixed that problem. I used #9 brass plated upholstery nails that come in a 30 pack from walmart for $1 and orginal JB weld. I was going to do a couple of mags like this to have something to play with before doing the bullet guide mod, but if they hold up, I migh
  8. I saw your message on the previous page, thanks for replying. I found a post on ar15.com from a guy that has galil mags feeding using a section of water pipe. I assume thats what I'll need for a round cut receiver. It seems the common characteristic for getting galil orlite mags to work is having a ramp that extends all the way to the mag.
  9. I just bought an older EAA Saiga .223 and may have jumped the gun on ordering Galil mags from CDNN. Has anyone gotten Galil mags to feed on a round cut trunnion?
