After being insulted by my local dealer telling me the bead on the gas block being crooked was normal I was finally able to reach RAA. With no pulling teeth I told them my problem they immediately emailed me a ups label and said they would have a new replacement in 5-10 days. They will get mine on Monday so I hope to have the new one by the end of the week! I will update post when I receive new one. After spending $$$$ and treated like an idiot Jays Guns you SUCK!!!

I know, and it is a shotgun. I will say though with the handgaurd off looking down the center of the gun the bead is at 11 o"clock.

I noticed my gas block is canted. I took it to where I just purchased it and was told its about a millimeter off. They told me that it could be sighted that way and could be correct to shoot it first. He then went on to tell me that because of the relationship between the barrel and the gas tube that it was the only way it could be installed. I could understand that because then theoretically the pin holes wouldnt line up. From everything I have read on the forum I am wondering if they are just not being helpful. I am going to call RAA tomorrow to see what they will say about it.

Probably depends on if the brake clean is chlorinated. Some takes off paint some doesn't!

O.k. I hate to start this w/all the info out there but the more I read it seems the more confused I am about being compliant. 14 parts, if I convert no more than 10 foreign. Im going to use its really late as my excuse! Bought s12, put on collapsable stock, I have a 12rd mag. to all experts out there am I compliant??? 14-1 stock=13 foreign- 1 mag=12 foreign?? Im not sure.

ya the ports looked liked they are aligned (pass a paperclip) the thing is sittin at about 11 oclock when i look down it, only needs enough to drive me nuts! i know i have to make sure ports are aligned but if i was to vise it and give the block a little tweak do run any risk of misaligning the barrel or are the ports the only thing to worry about?

wow i hope that doesnt happen again, the damn stop was stuck up in there finally got it to come down with a pick. i kinda bent the spring in so hopefully it wont come off, they should have a spring with a little arm on it so it cant do that. i was freaking out!

i pulled my bolt back and locked it into place turned the gun over and now it seems the bolt stop lever is inside the reciever and the bolt is stuck back. oh my im frustrated! any suggestions out there?

can you tell me if the two pins come out from only one side or it doesnt mater?

if thats the part the sight is fixed to it looks like its to one side. any fix for this??

proud new owner of s12. eating at me every day because i havent shot it yet. Anyway ive been doing a lot of reading on the dos and donts, one thing ive noticed on mine that i havent read anything about is the rear sight. has anyone else noticed if they look down it the nothched sight seems to be crooked. the hash marks are aligned but the rear sight doesnt sit level with the bead when i hold it straight. i dont plan on replacing the sights (i do realize its a shotgun). any experts out there have some good advice for me? thanx!
