  1. 18.25" barrel including welded muzzle brake. What do you forum members think this Saiga 12 is worth with out Mags?
  2. On P90 style rifles the cases eject out of the bottom.
  3. My thanks go out to Tritium for your great communication and for our fast transaction. I hope that you enjoy your muzzle brake. Let me know of your experience with it. Tim M
  4. I used the Blackjack's AK-47 Shepherd's Crook Replacement and did have to modify it by grinding it to clear the left receiver rail and enlarging the center and rearmost hole slightly. A person may be better off with Metric size "E" clips. Check out www.McMaster.com (catalog page 3090), if they do not have it, you probably did not need it anyway. Tim M
  5. OK, Let me know if you decide that you want one. Tim M
  6. There are about 3 hours machine work for me + materials ($150.00) and about 1 week delivery. If you are interested, there is another American made sight for the Saiga 12 (the two pictures in this reply) from Krebs: http://www.krebscustom.com/CustomParts.html
  7. It is only for the 12ga. I can make them with or without the elevated sight and silver soldered on or with set screws. The prototype is silver soldered onto the gun for an over all barrel lenght of 18.12". The gun fires reliably without any modifications to the gas system (see my previous post about "another Saiga 12 conversion just finished"). These are made one at a time and I can accomodate just about any method of attachment. Tim M
  8. I am making these if you are interested. Tim M
  9. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THEY ARE CONTRACTORS OR SOLDIERS, THEY ARE AMERICANS, AND WHEN THEY GET SHOT OR BLOWN UP THEY ARE JUST AS DEAD. ANY WAY MANY OF THE "CONTRACTORS" ARE EX-MILITARY. BY THEY WAY, THE FEDS ONLY KEEP TRACK OF AMERICAN SOLDIERS KILLED. HOW MANY AMERICAN CONTRACTORS HAVE DIED? ARE THEIR LIVES SOMEHOW LESS VALUABLE BECAUSE THEY ARE CONTRACTORS? THERE ARE A LOT MORE AMERICANS COMITTED IN THIS WAR THAN MOST PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF. Tim M
  10. Hi Terry, How about $75.00 for the brake with no provision for the sight. Tim M
  11. Hi Terry, This is a slip-on type brake and covers 1" of the barrel, and adds 2.875" to the barrel length (so your barrel could be cut down to 15.25" to end up at 18.12"), and has no provision for set screws. It was designed to be silver soldered on. It is made in 2 pieces. The sight is first clamped and silver soldered onto a flat with an indexing rib that is on the brake; then the assembly is slipped over the barrel, alligned, and silver soldered onto the barrel. The sight post is an 8-32unc brass screw turned down to a post on its top end and set with blue loctite. I just have an ol
  12. Thanks, I kind of based it on the Russian made brake and front sight. I made it out of 4130 aircraft grade steel. I think that counts as 2 compliance parts (ie. minus one Russian barrel and plus one US made barrel / brake / sight assembly. But I have enought Compliant parts without this anyway. Tim M
  13. I just finished my first Saiga 12 Conversion. It has the following components: Tapco Trigger Group Tapco Pin Retainer Ace Modular Stock Ace Folding Mechanism Ace ("Cut the tang") Receiver Block Ace Pistol Grip Romanian Trigger guard and safety stop 18.12" Barrel W/ my own design compensator and front sight (all silver soldered) The shotgun functions reliably with no modifications to the gas system and the homemade muzzlebrake really keeps the muzzle down and seems to absorb a lot of recoil. Pictures of my HK-91 / G3 style 20ga Assault Shotgun coming soon! Tim M, North C
