  1. Update: With Griffin Armament releasing the information on their new Optimus multi-cal suppressor, I purchased a Griffin taper mount brake to be installed rather than the Rainier Arms. Luckily Ken hadn't started it so he's installing the new one. However, HE'S STILL not started my gun.
  2. Good job man. Your last pic looked good. Pics of it completed? I said I was going to do mine myself for literally YEARS... Was always to nervous to do it. I finally sent it off to be done.
  3. I am sure it will be. Birthday is the 14th. Hoping to have it by then. Would make a nice bday gift to myself.
  4. Well I tried to hold out. Called Ken yesterday and he said give him a couple more weeks.
  5. Just whining.... I still don't have it back.... I miss it.
  6. I wanted to thread for an AR brake. Everything I'd been looking at seemed like I was pretty much stuck with this option.
  7. I bought the footage from a stock website sadly...lol Thank you! Ah! I almost said you could probably sell some of that as stock....
  8. Just a heads up, if you're sending it to the same place you mentioned in an earlier thread, that's where I had mine done and I was quoted about 4 weeks but it took closer to 8. However quality was great and I was charged less than originally quoted so I'm not complaining, just wanted let you know my experience.I've heard expect longer than quoted wait times. worth the wait though I guess. Funny, he did give me a lower number when I was there than on the phone.
  9. I'd love to have a 20"er to go along with this one.
  10. It was quite cloudy here Metro Detroit, unfortunately. I was hoping for a good show. I had one shot between clouds. Need something bigger than a 200mm lens. This is all I could pull off. 2015 Lunar Eclipse by David Pyzik, on Flickr
  11. Your videos have always been of higher quality. This one takes it up another notch. Is all the video yours? There are some really good clips. You'll do well in the industry I imagine.
  12. Paint them and make them gooder Troy by David Pyzik, on Flickr
  13. A mag conversion is in the plans. Which one and when, I don't know. All depends on those dollars and right now I don't have many.
  14. Stripped her down and sent her off yesterday. FINALLY! Cutting the front sight at welding to the BG, chopping to 14.5 and welding the brake. Already can't wait to get it back.
  15. Not sure what you mean. The carrier passes over the hammer when cycling. I can't get the carrier past the hammer at all now. I did push the hammer down and forced the carrier over. I had to take the FCG out with the BCG in the gun because I could not get it back over.
  16. I'll give them one more try to get it right. I don't want to take a sander to it. There have been reports of the hammers breaking. I am worried that if I remove material I'll just ruin it.
  17. Well bad news... I cannot get the carrier back into the gun with the new trigger. The new hammer sits too high when cocked (if that makes sense). It's too thick from the strike face back. At this point, it's unusable. Waiting to hear back again.

  19. Haha, thanks. I wish my lines were more defined like the Saiga's above. Pic thread: RS Regulate mount arrived! RS Regulate 302 by David Pyzik, on Flickr
  20. I've seen guys run sights on this set up. Even if they're not exactly the same place there should be enough of an elevation adjustment in what ever front sight you use to make any slight difference.
  21. Much better than my "camo" paint job! Looks great It's an AR but just wanted to show my camo job to make you feel better about your own. Hahaa! Troy by David Pyzik, on Flickr
  22. Update: Got an email on Friday saying it was received on Thursday and that they would get it repaired/upgraded with priority and returned asap.
  23. Well, hopefully they will modify it to work with your saiga and send it off in time for you to run it in competition. You think they would put a priority on it since you are doing professional level outdoor photos and studio lit product closeups. I have yet to hear from anybody who actually paid for one of these. Time will tell. Kinda makes me think of all the kids putting pipes and air boxes on their audi A4S' as if they could do a better job than the german engineers that made it rip in the first place. Thanks for the complements on the photos. No, I've heard only very little from anyo
