  1. That is actually a .223 in the M series. They have a .308 trigger in them. Those were brought in by RAAC on a trial basis. There are .223s and 7.62X39s in those styles. There are only about 100 of each that are in the country. There is a wood thumbhole version that will be an ongoing import but the regular version has been dropped. I hope this clears up any confusion on the style.
  2. The polychoke for the 20 gauge is available at Saigastock. Also the russian chokes for the 20 gauge are available there.
  3. I have shot all of the Surefire magazines. I too noticed the tight lock up. But after a few times inserting and removing them, they worked fine for me. I have had no problems with function or reliability. I have also shot the FBMG magazine. Mine may be some of the older ones. They are not as smooth as the Surefire and a little harder to load but I am just one shooter. I also like the last round bolt hold open on the Surefire. At least we have competition in the different magazines and companies are coming on board to make different magazines. I only hope the electon doesn't put a dam
  4. Russian American Armory Company had the Surefire magazines (3,5,10) in their booth at the Shot Show. They carry the 3, 5, and 10 round magazines in all rifle calibers in their inventory for their distributors. The 3,5 rounders in the .223 have never been available. The 3,5, and 10 rounders in the 308 are new to the market also. I don't think RAAC would carry the magazines if they did not think they were quality products. Just my point of view.
  5. www.saigastock.com has em for 46.95 + 7.95 S&H as soon as my checking acct recovers from x-mas I am getting one from whomever has them for the best price. I just wish they made em in 5 rds too for hunting, then I could remove the block from my 8 rd mag. If you look at the 1st post, there are going to be different capacities. Starting at 3 and going to 25. So I'm sure there will be a 5 rounder in the mix.
  6. I have seen the 25 round magazines for sale on Giberts Gun Shop web site and also the SaigaStock web site. The SaigaStock site has a picture of the magazine. I also think that RSR has them on their site also.
  7. RAAC has a 5 round factory magazine. Also Surefire Mags is making a 5 round magazine for the 7.62X39. Send RAAC an e-mail and they wiil tell you where to buy.
  8. The IZ-104 is a 410 with a 19 inch barrel. The IZ-103 is the 410 with a 21 inch barrel. All shotguns have a threaded barrel and a manual last bolt hold open from the factory. By all shotguns I mean the ones that are being imported right now.
  9. Gilberts Gun Shop should have them. They also should have the 2 round magazines for the 20. RAAC just recently recieved the 2 3/4 factory magazines from Russia.
  10. I should find out this afternoon -- but since it's a Saiga-specific choke, the answer had better be yes!! I'll post when I've had a chance to try it out. Jim The polychoke that is offered for the saiga-12 does screw onto the 12 gauge. It has been specifically made for the saiga-12. There will be a polychoke for the 20 gauge next. RAAC is stocking the polychokes for their distributors.
  11. Just to add an update on the shotguns--all that are beinging imported have the threaded barrel and the manual bolt hold open on them. The 20 gauge also is coming in like the IZ-108 (12 gauge) with a sight leaf on it. Their inventory numbers are IZ-218 (short barrel) and IZ-219 (long barrel) Also the 2 3/4 inch magazines are now available, and also a factory 2 round magazine that is an actual 2 round magazine and not a modified magazine is available.
  12. RAAC has a long barrel 7.62X39 with a skeleton stock, 10 round magazine, 5 round magazine, and factory scope mount shown on their web site as a long barrel special. I think they are available at Gilberts Gun Shop. Pricing I do not know.
  13. The Saiga 308 Version-21 is coming in the fall of this year. Should be here in September or October. It will retail below 500 dollars. That is as long as the russian price does not change. There is an initial supply of only 200 rifles. They will come in the long barrel length only. That is the only way they are made. This is the only information I have been able to obtain so far.
  14. The next shipment from Russia will be in the country the first week in May. 200 IZ-109s, no 410s, 40 IZ-105s (20 gauge 19 inch barrel), 100 IZ-106s ( 20 gauge 22 1/2 inch barrel) 280 IZ-137s, 140 IZ- 139s. There are also 650 IZ-132s, and 650 IZ-114s. Also there are 100 IZ-219s. This is a 20 gauge 22 1/2 inch barrel with the adjustable site leaf. I think this is the first time in the country for these. Somebody correct me if I am wrong. Everything on this shipment is already pre sold, so the distributors will have them the 2nd week in May if everything goes according to plan. RAAC hope
  15. Hi, I'm assuming that your .223 is a new in the box rifle. If so then you need to call RAAC this week and let them know of your problem. They will probably want you to return the rifle for repair or replacement. Their number is 877-752-2894.
